Celta Vigo vs Real Sociedad Prediction
The league leaders heading into La Liga Matchday 11, Real Sociedad travel to the Estadio de Balaidos later to take on 14th-placed Celta Vigo in the knowledge they will likely need a win to stay top. With Real Madrid at home to Osasuna, Los Txuri-Urdin are under huge pressure here to get three points if they want to keep their noses in front of this impressive title challenge.

Sociedad retained the top spot at the weekend courtesy of a hard-earned 2-2 draw away to fellow title hopefuls Atletico Madrid, and have been boosted by news that some of their key players, David Silva and Munoz in particular, are available again after a spell out through injury.
That Sociedad was able to maintain their challenge while enduring a mini-injury crisis says a lot about the quality of their squad. Celta, meanwhile, has found life tough so far and is only four points clear of the danger zone, although a goal difference of just -2 suggests there is not too much wrong.

In this equivalent match last season, Sociedad ran out comfortable 4-1 winners but I expect this to be much closer, if only because of Celta’s decent defense. However, with the league leaders still in plus money, the value is very much with a narrow away win.
Picks: Real Sociedad to win (+160)
Rayo Vallecano vs Barcelona Prediction
Barcelona’s defeat in El Clasico at the weekend will have stung, so the Catalans will be looking to get back to winning ways as soon as possible on La Liga Matchday 11. Barca has the added incentive of knowing that a win over Vallecano will see them leapfrog their seventh-placed hosts in the table and could potentially help close the current six-point gap between themselves and the league leaders.

The good news for Barcelona fans is that Sergio Aguero is fit again and pushing for a place in the starting XI after scoring his team’s consolation goal against Los Blancos, although their cause has not been helped by a recovery room that currently contains Araujo, Braithwaite, Dembele, Pedri, and Wague. Unlike Barca, Rayo has exceeded their pre-season expectations so far and has achieved its impressive seventh place by virtue of some outstanding home form, where they have won four from four.

Despite being two places lower than Rayo in the table, Barca starts here as the favorite but more on reputation than form. For me, based on their good home form, despite losing away at the weekend, the hosts are more than capable of getting a draw and even sneaking the win.
Pick: Rayo and Barca to draw (+285)
Real Betis vs Valencia Prediction
It is fifth versus tenth in the Estadio Benito Villamarin on La Liga Matchday 11 but so tight is La Liga this season, that a win for Valencia would take them up to the edge of the chasing pack. Betis is in good form though and will be looking to build on their impressive 3-2 win over Rayo Vallecano at the weekend; a win that took them to within just three points of the league leaders. They remain well and truly in the hunt for the Champions League places.

Starting the week with a smile.

Valencia comes into this game off the back of a 2-2 thriller with Mallorca at the weekend where, from being 2-0 down, they incredibly pulled level with goals scored in the 93rd and 98th minutes.

Betis’ fine home form should be enough to see them home here but at -115 for the win, there is little value. There is however in the 1-0 home win which is pitched at a juicy +650.
Pick: Real Betis to win 1-0 (+650)
