Tad Boyle’s team saw Jabari Walker score a team-high14 points against the Huskies, but the 6-foot-8 sophomore was the only player in double figures for CU. Colorado was down 15 with under nine minutes remaining and nearly tied it at the end — but Boyle’s group committed 16 turnovers. the fourth straight game they have had at least that many giveaways.
Meantime, Kyle Smith’s club got 15 points apiece from Andrej Jakimovski and Tyrell Roberts and the Cougs used a 22-3 second half run to put away the Utes. Washington State has now won three of four.
Tristan da Silva’s Status Will Hurt the Over
The Buffaloes played the Dawgs without starting forward Tristan da Silva. It appears they will do so again Sunday night.
Tristan da Silva expected to miss #CUBuffs Sunday night date at Washington State due to what Tad Boyle termed a "COVID-related illness." As of now, only CU player expected to miss game. Story @buffzone on the way.

The 6-foot-8 sophomore had started every game this season and was averaging 12.1 points over the previous seven games for the Buffs. The German import is putting up 9.2 points overall this season. But after scoring only 58 points in Seattle — and with the Cougs only allowing the Utes 54 — CU could very well to be under its implied total of 63.
Hoping to pick up the slack are a trio of players scoring in double-digits this season for Boyle: Walker (14.0 ppg), Evan Battey (12.0 ppg) and Keeshwn Barthelemy (11.0 ppg).
Colorado is averaging 70.3 points per game (good for 210th out of 358 Division I programs) while shooting 44.0% from the field. The Buffs have been especially hot from distance lately, going 41.5% beyond the arc over the last five games. Defensively, Boyle’s squad allows 66.4 points per contest and has held opponents under 70 points in eight of its last 12 games.
Washington State 0-3 vs Colorado SU Last 3 H2H
The Buffs have won the last three all-time in the series, including a tight 83-78 win in Boulder earlier in the month. Noah Williams, Wazzou’s second-leading scorer at 11.7 points per outing, missed that game due to illness. Sophomore center Efe Abogidi — who usually goes for 7.3 a game in 2021-22 — put up 16 points in the loss and third-leading scorer Roberts had a career-high 25.

Senior guard Michael Flowers leads Smith’s squad in scoring at 12.7 points a night. He enters Sunday’s tilt ranked third in the conference in 3-point shooting at 44.2% and is coming off a solid game against Utah.
The Cougs continue to be among the sport’s elite when it comes to stifling opponents — ranking 27th in defensive rating at 93.5 per 100. Furthering the point, WSU has allowed opponents to shoot an effective FG% of just 45.6% — 29th in the country. The Cougs got out of the gate hot this season, opening with a 5-0 mark. But after a rough stretch (which saw them drop six of nine), the Cougars seem to have righted the ship since that last game against CU.
Colorado vs Washington State Pick
Sunday’s game on Friel Court marks Colorado’s third of the week after the high of besting Oregon in Eugene — only to fall to Washington in Seattle.
Meantime, Washington State is 8-4 in Beasley, while CU is 2-3 on the road.
While the Cougs may very well hold serve, the under is the clear play in this spot.
Pick: Under 131 (-110)
