The Miami Heat will be looking to book their ticket to the Eastern Conference Finals on Thursday as they visit the Philadelphia 76ers for a pivotal Game 6 at the Wells Fargo Center. The tip-off is set for 7pm ET.
The Heat took a 3-2 series lead on Tuesday with a massive 120-85 statement victory back at home, with the entire rotation flourishing. Philly, on the other hand, struggled immensely, with Joel Embiid also reaggravating his various injuries.

Heat Betting Outlook
Good teams respond to bad performances and that’s exactly what Miami did in Game 4. After getting outplayed in Games 3 and 4, the Heat came out with a vengeance on Tuesday.
From the tip, the intensity was at a whole different level. Erik Spoelstra’s squad not only won by 35 but dominated in every way imaginable.
The entire starting five finished in double-figures, led By Jimmy Butler’s 23 points. Max Strus also dropped 19, while Gabe Vincent, who slotted into the first unit for the injured Kyle Lowry, contributed 15 points as well.
Miami couldn’t shoot threes to save their lives in Philly, draining under 25% of their triples. By no surprise though, the shots started to land in Game 4, going 13-for-33 (39%). Strus sank four on his own, while Butler went 2-for-4.

Not only did the Heat have their way from deep, but they also brought the intensity down low, outrebounding the 76ers by 10 and outscoring them 56-36 in the paint. The physicality, defense, and shooting were all present.
Miami must not waver in Game 6 on the road. If Spoelstra’s group can bring the same energy and continue to facilitate well and find clean looks, there will be no reason to head back to South Beach for a Game 7.
76ers Betting Outlook
Philadelphia is now facing elimination and seriously needs to bounce back on Thursday. The Sixers were a completely different team in Game 5 and not in a good way. There was a lack of effort and physicality, and frankly, no one looked like they wanted to win.
Embiid is extremely important to the success of this team. He sets the tone with his energy and he didn’t have it here. That got Doc Rivers’ squad started on the wrong foot.

The big man, who had lost the MVP race earlier in the day to Nikola Jokic, only scored 17 points in 33 minutes of action. He went 7-for-12 from the field, but Embiid wasn’t imposing his will like we’ve seen him do all season long.
Then once he got smacked in the same area where the orbital fracture occurred, it didn’t help. As a whole, Philly failed to get anything going offensively.
.@stephenasmith is disgusted by the performance of the 76ers and believes Doc Rivers could take the blame if they lose the series.
“They played so bad that if they lose Game 6 … we both know who’s the first person that’s going to suffer. It’s probably going to be Doc Rivers.” pic.twitter.com/mipx3Y0FtP

James Harden couldn’t replicate his 31-point showing from a few nights ago, putting up only 14. He lacked aggression and only got to the line three times. With Embiid clearly not at full strength, The Beard must take charge and get downhill on Thursday.
The Sixers shot only 28% from deep as well after converting almost 50% of their treys in the two games prior. The likes of Tyrese Maxey, Georges Niang, and Danny Green have to hit shots. Without that, it could end up being a long night on Thursday.
Heat vs 76ers Prediction
I do expect the Sixers to play a lot better here, especially in front of their home fans. However, the Heat clearly made some defensive adjustments that worked on Tuesday and looked to have found their shooting.
No Kyle Lowry again shouldn’t be a problem for Miami, going 5-0 without him in the playoffs so far. I’m taking the visitors to finish up the series. The depth will shine through.
