The 76ers are the biggest favorite of the night against the Hornets in the NBA preseason predictions, laying 8.5 points. That’s much in part to LaMelo Ball unavailable due to an ankle injury. The Bucks are also a slim favorite against the Nets, despite losing all four of their preseason outings so far.

Pick #1: Nets vs Bucks
Brooklyn has yet to win a game in preseason, going 0-2. They’ve been blown out in both contests too by the 76ers and Heat. On Thursday, Miami ran riot on the Nets, with Steve Nash’s squad shooting a putrid 18% from downtown and committing 26 turnovers. Brooklyn was also bodied inside, getting outscored 56-42. Kevin Durant’s 22 points proved to be about the only bright spot.

Milwaukee will be looking to finally grab a victory as well here, but there may be a host of absences. Giannis Antetokounmpo could be out again, while Brook Lopez, Serge Ibaka, Jrue Holiday, Wesley Matthews, and George Hill, among others, all sat on Tuesday in a defeat to the Bulls.
Although the contest wasn’t even close, Jordan Nwora and Marques Bolden impressed, combining for 46 points. In fact, all five starters finished in double figures. They were just overmatched in the paint and on the glass by Chicago.

Giannis is obviously the X-factor here for the Bucks. He’s rested the last two games, therefore it’s possible he suits up here. The Nets have not looked good and it’s only a matter of time until Milwaukee pulls one out. Take them in the NBA preseason predictions.
Pick: Bucks -3 (-110)
Pick #2: Nuggets vs Clippers
The Nuggets are 1-2 thus far in the preseason, most recently beating the Suns in comeback fashion on Monday. Without Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray, numerous guys throughout the rotation stepped up, with Ish Smith and Bones Hyland dropping 17 and 16 points, respectively. Denver shot 45% from the field and took very good care of the rock.
Jokic is still dealing with a minor injury, while Murray and Hyland are questionable for Wednesday with ailments as well.

The Clippers have looked the part, winning twice and losing once. Kawhi Leonard and Paul George are already building solid chemistry again and both guys are expected to suit up here. Los Angeles fell to the Timberwolves on Sunday though as they struggled to limit Minnesota’s production in the paint. John Wall continued to impress with a 20-piece, while PG also had 14.

Tons of absences for Denver and likely none for the Clippers. This pick is a no-brainer.
Pick: Clippers -3.5 (-110)
