Mike Rutherford

Mike Rutherford has been the managing editor of Louisville sports website Card Chronicle since 2006. He served as SB Nation's college basketball editor from 2011-2020, and his college hoops writing has appeared on the websites of ESPN, CBS and Yahoo, among others. Rutherford has hosted various radio shows in Louisville since 2011, and currently serves as the co-host of the Card Chronicle Podcast. His first book, 100 Things Louisville Fans Should Know and Do Before They Die was published in 2017, and peaked at No. 29 on Amazon's Best Seller list. Rutherford has won 22 "Best of Louisville" awards during his time in sports media, including Best Writer, Best Website, Best Blog, Best Twitter Account, and Best Male Radio Show Host. He graduated from Bellarmine University in 2007, and currently resides in Louisville with his wife, Mary, and daughter, Virginia.
