How To Pre-Register at Missouri Sports Betting Apps on November 17

The launch of Missouri sports betting apps is getting closer, but Missourians don’t need to wait until December 1 to sign up for a sportsbook account.
When the Missouri Gaming Commission announced it had awarded nine different operators sports betting licenses, it also announced that November 17 would be the first day bettors could sign up and fund their sports betting accounts. In other words, the MGC set Nov. 17 as pre-registration day in Missouri.
But what is pre-registration, and is it even worth it when setting up your sports betting account? The short answer is yes. The detailed answer is, well, keep reading to find out.
Which Missouri Sportsbooks Offer Pre-Registration?
Only one online sportsbook in Missouri has been public about pre-registration, and that’s DraftKings Missouri. You can currently download the DraftKings app in the Show-Me State and it has advertised you’ll be able to set up your account starting on Nov. 17.
MISSOURI
The expectation is that the other eight sports betting apps in Missouri will also allow users to pre-register. Here are the other operators that have been awarded licenses:
- BetMGM Missouri
- bet365 Missouri
- FanDuel Missouri
- Caesars Sportsbook Missouri
- Fanatics Sportsbook Missouri
- Underdog Missouri
- ESPN BET Missouri
- Circa Missouri
One major question mark, of course, is ESPN BET, as it was recently announced it would be no more starting on Dec. 1. PENN Entertainment still holds a Missouri license, and it plans to switch over to theScore Bet in other states, so my educated guess is that theScore Bet Missouri will be available.
Current ESPN BET users in those states are going to be switched over automatically, so would PENN do the same in Missouri: register them under ESPN BET and switch them to theScore Bet on Dec. 1? That seems a bit strange, but there still isn’t a clear answer as of the publishing of this piece.
What is Sportsbook Pre-Registration?
Pre-registration for a sportsbook is simply creating your account prior to the sportsbook being able to accept bets.
Registering your account during the pre-registration process looks a lot like doing it after launch:
- Download the betting app of your choice
- Create an account using your name, birthdate, phone number, email address, street address and social security number
- Choose your deposit method of choice
- Deposit funds into your account
Here’s where there’s a difference, of course. After launch, you could start betting immediately. In the pre-registration period, you need to wait until a specified date — in this case, December 1.
Pre-Launch Bonuses Available at MO Sports Betting Apps
When November 17 comes, you can expect to see at least some of the available Missouri betting apps offer a pre-launch bonus.
These bonuses are in addition to whatever MO sports betting promo they will offer on launch day, giving you a little extra for simply pre-registering your account.
In past state launches, you would qualify for a pre-launch bonus by signing up early, and the link or promo code used to register would also trigger the larger welcome offer when sports betting goes live.
You will want to make sure to read any terms and conditions that come along with these promos — and we will make sure to provide those — to make sure you’re taking every step necessary to maximize your bonus.
What Are Benefits of Pre-Registering for Missouri Sportsbook Accounts?
The main benefit of pre-registering at a Missouri sports betting app will be claiming some extra bonus credit.
But beyond that, downloading an app and registering your account allows you to get familiar with it prior to placing your first bet. Familiarity is important, especially for new bettors, as it allows you to find the bet you want to make, and know the types of markets that sportsbook is offering.
If you pre-register at multiple sports betting apps, you can also spend time leading up to launch comparing odds, so when sports betting is live you know where to go to get the most bang for your buck betting on the Chiefs.
The bottom line is there is no downside to pre-registering, unless you really hate being prepared.
