Super Regional action continues across the country on Saturday, and I have you covered with multiple bets to target. My favorite wager comes from the Los Angeles Super Regional, where I’m betting on a high-scoring showdown between UTSA and #15 UCLA.

Super Regional Pick #1: UTSA vs UCLA Over 12

UTSA was extremely undervalued in the Regional Round, but it didn’t take long for pundits to realize their mistake. They outscored the opposition 26-13 en route to three straight victories, ousting #2 Texas to advance to its first Super Regional.

The Roadrunners’ lineup won’t overpower teams, but they will make them work overtime. UTSA seemingly always has runners on base, ranking top-10 in both average and OBP nationally. They’re incredibly patient, rarely strikeout, and create runs at the 11th best mark in the country. Mason Little and James Taussig set the table at the top of the lineup, while 11 hitters in total have an OBP north of .400.

The Bruins are equally as patient at the dish, and possess more power than the Roadrunners. They racked up 38 runs over their three victories in the Regionals, led by Roch Cholowsky, one of the most prized sophomores in the game. UCLA crosses the plate an average of 8 times per game, and should have little trouble against UTSA starter Zach Royse. He’s coughed up 14 runs in his last three starts, surrendering 6 home runs along the way.

Super Regional Prediction #2: Duke -2.5

I hate to be a downer, but I don’t see how Murray State’s improbable run continues past this weekend. The Racers are easily the weakest team left vying for a trip to Omaha, and boast the longest College World Series odds. Their metrics are propped up by a cupcake regular season schedule, and even though they got timely hitting in the Regionals, Duke is a different beast.

The Blue Devils staff is fresh allowing only 10 runs total in three contests versus the big bats of Georgia and Oklahoma State. Offensively, no team remaining works counts better or strikes out less, while their lineup also strikes a nice balance between power and on base percentage.

Duke enters play ranked fifth in weighted runs created and 15th in OPS. They should feast on a weak Murray State staff that has an ERA over 7.00 in their last 10 games. The Blue Devils outscored their Regional opponents by 11 runs over three contests, and will take down the Racers by 3+ runs on Saturday.

Super Regional Picks #3: Arkansas vs Tennessee Under 11.5

Last but not least, I’m banking on a pitcher’s duel when #6 Arkansas faces #14 Tennessee. Liam Doyle takes the ball for the Vols, fresh off 9 innings of 1 run ball in the Regionals. Doyle struck out 16 against only 3 walks, routinely touching 100+ miles per hour with his fastball. Pitching in the vaunted SEC, Doyle allowed 2 runs or less in 12 of 16 starts, shutting out the opposition seven times.

On the other side, Zach Root leads a staff that ranks fifth in strikeout rate, seventh in runs allowed and 10th in WHIP. Root was sensational at Regionals as well, tossing 6 innings of shutout ball, and enters play having yielded 2 runs or less in eight of 16 starts.

Yes, both lineups are extremely dangerous, but the talent of each starter is too great for this game to exceed the total. I expect a quiet offensive performance from both teams in Game 1, before the bats bounce back in Game 2.
