This week is no exception with Tiger Woods returning to his personal playground attempting to secure a sixth career title at Muirfield Village and first since 2012.

Tiger Woods a Worthy Bet at Memorial Tournament
Perhaps we shouldn’t expect Tiger Woods to dominate courses he’s had such amazing success on in the past. However, it’s hard not to look at this event as a prime opportunity for Tiger to shake off the sour taste of the missed cut at the PGA Championship two weeks ago.

A big part of Woods’ struggles at the PGA were due to a balky putter, as he missed several makeable putts that sunk his chances. He returns to the familiar greens at Muirfield Village which instantly gives him a much better chance of victory.
He’s back to number five in the world, a place he hasn’t found himself in five years. His betting odds will be low all season, so if you’re inclined to put your cash on Tiger throughout the year, this week is a solid choice.
2014 Champ Hideki Matsuyama Poised for Breakout
He’s been hovering around leaderboards all season without breaking through, but the 2014 Memorial Tournament Champion Hideki Matsuyama is due for a victory (+2500 odds).

Matsuyama hasn’t missed a cut since last year’s Open Championship and has put together three top-10’s on the campaign. He found himself in the mix heading into the final day of the PGA so he’s currently in good form. If he could even putt decently this week, look out.
Hideki Matsuyama’s Strokes Gained Ranks This Season

Strokes Gained: Total | 9th |
Around the Green | 13th |
Off The Tee | 35th |

2019 Memorial Tournament Best Value Picks
- Bryson DeChambeau (+3300): Defending champion of the Memorial. DeChambeau has struggled with his game of late, barely missing the last three cuts. In light of the fact he won here last year and how much talent he has, these odds are juicy.
- Rory Sabbatini (+5000): Hasn’t missed a cut since February and in his last five events, he’s been 6th, 5th, 18th, 3rd, 10th.
- Byeong-Hun An (+10000): Long shot with upside. Lost in a playoff at this tournament a year ago. T-11 and T-25 in last two appearances at Muirfield Village before that. 13th in strokes gained tee to green and third in strokes gained around the green this year.
