Literally anything could happen. Let me let you in on a little secret. Nothing has changed about Saturdays. Nothing at all. Anything could still happen, and lucky for us, that goes for dingers, too. What’s even better is, I already went through the whole MLB slate and picked out two guys that I know for a fact respect the lore of Saturdays. Feels right.

HR Parlay Leg #1 – Tyler Soderstrom to Hit a Home Run

We need to start this thing with a bang. Honestly, we should have some afternoon magic, but I wasn’t able to find the first “guaranteed guy” until the night slate. It is what it is. We have to remember, good things come to those who wait. Even on Saturdays.

Lucky for us, we won’t have to wait too long because Tyler Soderstrom plays in one of the earlier games tonight, and he dominates the pitch mix he’ll see.

Here’s the thing, we know Brandon Young gives it up. Everyone has seen him do it. On the season, he’s given up six dongs to left-handed batters in just 25.1 innings of work to that side of the plate. Translation, not good. Going through the A’s lineup, Soderbomb makes the most sense. He’s on fire right now, plus he’s got a .241 ISO against the fastball to go along with a .286 ISO against the curveball from righties. My guess is, he won’t make us wait long tonight. Feels easy.

HR Parlay Leg #2 – Salvador Perez to Hit a Home Run

Since we know Soderbomb is going yard, we have to be really careful with who we take for the knockout blow. We can’t get all willy-nilly and waste our opportunity. It’s time to focus and lock in on a guy that we know for a fact is sending a fan home with a souvenir.

After going through the entire slate and considering everything that could possibly happen, it’s clearly Salvador Perez.

We don’t get to the classics very often, but sometimes we have to throw the old guys out there just for the vibes. The thing with Salvador is, he still pops even though it feels like he’s 65 years old. Luckily for him, he’s going to see a familiar face on the mound today in Bailey Ober. Ober is what’s known on the streets as a “habitual dinger giver upper.” Perez actually knows that for a fact since he’s got two jacks off this guy. My guess is, Ober is going to try Perez with a slider, and it’s going to be put on Mars. Feels right.
