Surging Rays Aim to End Slide at Yankee Stadium
The Tampa Bay Rays will be looking to cement their position as the AL’s top wild card when they visit the New York Yankees for a four-game series this week as +145 underdogs on the MLB series prices.
The Rays head to the Big Apple on a high after taking three of four in Baltimore this weekend to improve to 5-1 in their past six outings.

The Rays’ current surge began with a pair of victories over New York that enabled them to split a four-game set just prior to the MLB All-Star Break, while putting the brakes on a six-game slide against the Yankees. The Rays have struggled in recent visits to Yankee Stadium, posting consecutive wins just once during a 12-34 run that dates back to September 2014.
Rays vs Yankees Probable Starting Pitchers
Blake Snell | July 15 | James Paxton |
TBD | July 16 | CC Sabathia |
Yonny Chirinos | July 17 | Domingo German |
Charlie Morton | July 18 | J.A. Happ |
The Yankees open the week as strong -170 favorites after narrowly escaping with a series victory in a three-game weekend set with the Toronto Blue Jays.
New York hitters tallied just nine total runs while taking two of three from Toronto, extending a power outage that dates back to the club’s recent visit to Tampa Bay, with the offense generating just 2.6 runs per game over their past five outings.

New York’s quiet bats have contributed to a steady 7-2 run for the UNDER in totals betting. However, the Yankees remain a force on home turf, avoiding consecutive losses while posting wins in 30 of 39 dates at Yankee Stadium since April 13, including a dominating 15-2 record against AL East rivals.
Pick: Yankees (-170)
Los Angeles Dodgers vs Philadelphia Phillies Series Prices
Team | Odds (Four-Game Series) |
---|---|
Los Angeles Dodgers | -245 |
Philadelphia Phillies | +195 |
Dodgers Look to Overcome Road Woes in Visit with Slumping Phillies
The Los Angeles Dodgers will be looking to win three in a row on the road for the first time in six weeks when they open a four-game series in Philadelphia on Monday as heavy -245 favorites.
The Dodgers closed out a three-game weekend set in Boston with a pair of wins to snap a four-game losing streak. However, despite owning an MLB-leading 62-33 record, Los Angeles has struggled on the road of late, going 7-9 over its past 16.

That run leaves the Dodgers with just one series victory in their past four road sets.
Los Angeles hitters stirred from their recent slumber in their two weekend victories over the Red Sox, pounding out 18 total runs after scoring just seven times in their previous four. However, Dodgers pitchers have surrendered six or more runs on five occasions during the team’s current 2-5 run at Citizens Bank Park.
Dodgers vs Phillies Probable Starting Pitchers
Clayton Kershaw | July 15 | Zach Eflin |
Walker Buehler | July 16 | Vince Velasquez |
Kenta Maeda | July 17 | Nick Pivetta |
Ross Stripling | July 18 | Aaron Nola |
The Phillies continue to search for answers after dropping two of three to the visiting Washington Nationals over the weekend, and host the Dodgers as lengthy +195 underdogs.
Philadelphia has posted a middling 5-7 record in 12 contests since a four-game sweep of the New York Mets three weeks ago.

That sweep marks the lone bright spot on an otherwise dismal stretch since the end of May that leaves the Phillies trailing the NL East-leading Philadelphia Phillies by 8.5 games, and devastated their World Series odds, which have plummeted to +2200.
Pick: Dodgers (-245)
Pittsburgh Pirates vs St. Louis Cardinals Series Prices
Team | Odds |
---|---|
Pittsburgh Pirates | +145 |
St. Louis Cardinals | -170 |
Slumping NL Central Rivals Clash as Cardinals Host Pirates
Struggling divisional rivals clash this week as the St. Louis Cardinals host the Pittsburgh Pirates for a three-game set perched as -170 favorites.
The Cardinals are coming off a narrow series victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks this past weekend, but have struggled with inconsistency during a 6-9 run that leaves them stalled three games out of top spot in the NL Central standings.

Steady results have also eluded the Cardinals on home turf, where they have gone 6-6 over their past 12. While that record has been enough to garner the club series victories in two of their past four home sets, generating offense remains an issue for St. Louis, which has tallied more than four runs in just six of 20 home dates.
However, the Cardinals pitching staff has remained steady at home, and sports a 3.42 team ERA, fourth-best in the majors.
Pirates vs Cardinals Probable Starting Pitchers
Joe Musgrove | July 15 | Miles Mikolas |
TBD | July 16 | Jack Flaherty |
TBD | July 17 | Daniel Ponce de Leon |
The Pirates stumble into St. Louis as +145 underdogs on the MLB series prices after be swept in a three-game road series with the Chicago Cubs. Pittsburgh has now lost five straight on the road, and 10 of 12 road dates with NL Central rivals while being outscored by a 70-39 margin.

And while the Pirates took three of four in St. Louis earlier this season, including a pair of one-run victories, they have tallied just 25 total earned runs over the past 13 starts of the three Cardinals starters they can expect to face this week, including Mike Mikolas, Jack Flaherty, and Daniel Ponce de Leon.
Pick: Cardinals (-170)
