  • All FanDuel users can claim a 50% home run profit boost or a no-sweat home run bet for Dinger Tuesday

We have made it to another Dinger Tuesday during the MLB season. All users at FanDuel (new and existing) have their choice of what home run bonus they want to claim. They can either claim a 50% profit boost to use on any player to hit a home run on Tuesday, or they can claim a no-sweat home run bet.

Both are great options. Users can get even better odds for a player they like to hit a home run, or they can get a bonus bet back if the player they bet on to hit a home run does not.

All 30 MLB teams are in action tonight, so it should be a fun night full of home runs.

Over the last three Dinger Tuesdays, I have won four home run bets, so see below for my best home run picks today and see how I am using my FanDuel Dinger Tuesday bonus.

Home Run Picks Today

I have four MLB home run picks for today, August 12.

Home Run Pick #1: Ivan Herrera (+780 at FanDuel with 50% Profit Boost)

My favorite home run pick of the day is Ivan Herrera. Herrera is +520 to hit a home run at FanDuel, but I am using my Dinger Tuesday 50% boost on him, so now he is +780, which is an incredible value.

Kyle Freeland takes the mound for the Rockies, and he has given up seven home runs in his last four starts. 10 of the 16 home runs he has allowed this season have come on the road, and he has struggled against right-handed batters.

Righties have hit 15 of Freeland’s 16 home runs this year, and they are slugging .508 against him. Herrera, on the other hand, has been a monster against left-handed pitching this season.

He is slugging an absurd .754 against lefties and has hit seven of his ten homers against left-handed pitchers in 2025. Herrera has also hit the majority of his home runs at home.

Herrera has an exit velocity of 91.1 and a 46.4% hard hit rate, so I love him in this matchup.

In his career against Freeland, Herrera is 1-3 with a home run.

Home Run Pick #2: Dominic Canzone (+400 at FanDuel)

My next home run pick today is Dominic Canzone, who is facing Dean Kremer and the Orioles.

Kremer has allowed four home runs in his last three starts, and he has struggled against lefties this season. They are slugging .471 against him and have hit 11 of the 18 homers that he has allowed.

It does not help that Camden Yards is sixth in ballpark factor for left-handed hitters.

Canzone is fresh off a two-hit game, and he is slugging .516 against right-handed pitchers. All 7 of Canzone’s homers this year have come against righties.

He has an exit velocity of 91.1 and a 48.8% hard-hit rate, making him a good bet to go yard tonight.

Home Run Pick #3: Max Kepler (+390 at FanDuel)

Another home run pick that I really like tonight is Max Kepler against Brady Singer and the Reds.

Kepler has two multi-hit games in his last three and has two doubles and a home run during that span. He is slugging .750 over the last seven days, so he is heating up.

That is great news for him against Brady Singer, who has given up a homer in four of his last five starts. Nine of the 14 home runs that he has allowed this season have come at home, and 11 of them have come against left-handed hitters.

Eleven of Kepler’s 12 homers have come against right-handed pitching.

He has a hard hit rate of 45.7% and an exit velocity of 90.8. Kepler has also had success against Singer in his career.

Kepler has hit two home runs off Singer already, and he is slugging .652 against him. In his six hits, three of them have been doubles. I like for Kepler to hit another home run off of Singer tonight at Great American Ballpark.

Home Run Pick #4: Maikel Garcia (+900 at FanDuel)

My last home run pick today is a long shot at +900 odds, but I do not think the odds should be this high. I love getting these odds for Garcia, who is riding a four-game hit streak. He has multiple hits in two of the four games, and he is batting .409 and slugging .545 over the past seven days.

He is facing Mitchell Parker, who has allowed three home runs over his last two starts. The lefty has been worse on the road with a 6.10 ERA, and he has struggled against righties.

Right-handed batters have hit 13 of the 16 home runs he has given up this year, and Kauffman Stadium is seventh in ballpark factor for right-handed hitters.

Garcia is slugging .542 against lefties this season, and he has a 91.2 exit velocity and a 43.9% hard-hit rate. I cannot believe his odds are +900, but I am not complaining.
