The Houston Rockets want to achieve a historic comeback in the first round of the playoffs and to do it they need a win over the Portland Trail Blazers this Sunday, in game three of the series at 9:30 PM ET at the Moda Center.
The Rockets are 1-2 down in the series, but they were able to steal one from Portland two days ago. The problem is that both teams think their opponent has the pressure.
“The pressure is on them,” Rockets James Harden maintained. “Sunday is going to be a great game and we have to do a great job of being ready, being focused. We have to quiet runs to a minimum and just be out there for four quarters. The hustle plays, the loose balls, we have to get all of hose.”
“We’re still in control, the pressure is still on them,” said Blazers LaMarcus Aldridge. “They lost two at home so they’re trying to come here and they have to take two. They came out and played as they should, they played like they were desperate and needed a win, like they didn’t want their season to end.”
The NBA betting odds for this one has the Blazers as 2.5 point favorites, and the game total is at 214. Portland is 2-8 straight up and 1-6-1 ATS in its last 8 games when playing at home against Houston.
The total has gone OVER in 5 of Portland’s last 5 games when playing Houston.
