It’s a battle of two elite Eastern Conference teams Thursday, as the defending champion Milwaukee Bucks visit the Brooklyn Nets at the Barclays Center for a marquee matchup. The tip-off is scheduled for 7:30pm ET.

The Bucks currently sit a half-game out of first place after an important win over Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday, thanks to a massive performance from Giannis Antetokounmpo.

The Nets, on the other hand, beat the lowly Detroit Pistons but gave up 123 points to one of the worst teams in the league.

This is the final meeting of the campaign between these two East foes, with the Bucks going 2-1 thus far.

Bucks vs Nets Odds

Team Spread Moneyline Total
Milwaukee Bucks +1.5 (-110) +100 Ov 238 (-110)
Brooklyn Nets -1.5 (-110) -118 Un 238 (-110)

Odds as of March 30th at FanDuel.

The Nets are a slim 1.5-point favorite here but they’re just 8-27-1 ATS at home. Milwaukee meanwhile, has gone 4-10 as an ATS underdog.

Bucks Betting Outlook

The Bucks have dealt with their fair share of injury problems this season, but Mike Budenholzer’s group is really coming into their own now at the best possible time.

The 2021 NBA champs are 7-3 in their last 10 games, notching wins against the Jazz, Bulls, and most recently, the Sixers.

It was truly the Giannis show on Tuesday, with the two-time MVP balling out for 40 points, 14 rebounds, and six assists in only 37 minutes of action. He’s a top-3 candidate in the 2022 NBA MVP odds.

Running mates Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday also did their part, combining for 40 points and an impressive 17 dimes. This game truly came down to the wire, with the Greek Freak swatting Embiid’s put-back in the dying seconds of regulation to secure the two-point victory. It was just one of many terrific plays from Antetokounmpo.

It was a relatively even contest, with both teams shooting the ball well and taking good care of the basketball, combining for a mere 18 turnovers.

However, the Bucks managed to come out on top because of their ability to take advantage in transition, outscoring Philly 20-11 in fast-break points. It’s a clear way for Milwaukee to thrive again on Thursday, as Brooklyn ranks 25th in the Association in this category.

Nets Betting Outlook

The Nets now have their star duo of Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant together on a full-time basis, but there’s limited time to turn things around.

Steve Nash’s squad is 3.5-games behind the Raptors, who hold the final playoff seed. At this point, it’s basically a foregone conclusion Brooklyn will need to go through the play-in tournament, but they need to improve their defense in a hurry.

Durant and Co. beat Detroit 130-123 on Tuesday. There is absolutely not a chance the Nets should be giving up this many points to the Pistons. It’s just a prime example of how poor this team is at containing their opponents on a nightly basis.

Ben Simmons making his debut would change that drastically, but it’s unknown if he’ll return before the postseason or not. Without elite defensive effort, their title aspirations aren’t going to come true.

Nevertheless, it was an electric offensive showing. KD erupted for 41 points, with the rest of the starting five also finishing in double-figures. Kyrie had 24, while Andre Drummond posted 14 points and 13 boards.

It wasn’t easy for Brooklyn though, who had to come back from a 55-43 deficit in the second quarter. They went on a 22-8 run in the third period and went toe to toe with Detroit for most of the fourth before eventually pulling away.

Bucks vs Nets Prediction

Brooklyn’s ATS home record is what really stands out here. The Bucks have also won four of their last five against them. On top of that, the Nets are under .500 at Barclays Center. Take Milwaukee on the moneyline.
