Thursday evening will see the Chicago Bulls (26-28, 10-17) head to the Barclays Center for an Eastern Conference affair with the Kevin Durant-less Brooklyn Nets (32-22, 16-10 home). The tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 PM ET. Find the Bulls vs Nets prediction below.
Chicago occupies a play-in spot and has gone 6-4 in their last 10 games but did lose on Tuesday to the Memphis Grizzlies by a score of 104-89. Brooklyn meanwhile has lost back-to-back contests, despite Cam Thomas balling out at a ridiculous level.

The Nets are a 3.5-point favorite with -158 moneyline odds, while the Bulls sit at +134.
This is already the third meeting of the campaign between the two, with Chicago winning both. In fact, they’re 4-1 in their last five outings against Brooklyn.

Bulls Can Still Turn It Around
Consistency has been a major issue for the Bulls in 2022-23, especially offensively. The squad is 17th in PPG and 19th in offensive rating. There are rumors flying that Chicago could move defensive stalwart Alex Caruso at the trade deadline, but it’s going to take quite the offer to part ways with one of their most important role players.
Plus, not all is lost for Billy Donovan’s group yet. With the All-Star break nearing, the team is just slightly below .500 and only three games out of the final playoff spot in the East. Tuesday was the end of a three-game winning streak though, with the Grizzlies dominating the Bulls, especially down low.

Memphis outscored them 54-34 in the paint and absolutely destroyed Chi-Town in the final period by a score of 32-14. The visitors completely took their foot off the gas pedal after a very solid third quarter. Nikola Vucevic scored 28 and grabbed 17 boards, while Zach LaVine dropped 24 points, too. DeMar DeRozan was sidelined with hip soreness however and has a questionable tag again Thursday.
Brooklyn Looking Different
Kyrie Irving is gone, KD is still injured, and Spencer Dinwiddie is back in town, along with 3 and D specialist Dorian Finney-Smith. A lot has changed in a matter of days for Brooklyn, who quickly parted ways with Irving after his trade request last Friday. Joe Tsai managed to get a pair of solid players in return from the Dallas Mavericks and both are expected to suit up Thursday.
The main storyline lately for the Nets is guard Cam Thomas. The former LSU standout has dropped 40+ points in three straight appearances, becoming the youngest player in NBA history to do so. And even with a 47-piece Tuesday, Brooklyn still couldn’t beat the Phoenix Suns. Unfortunately, Thomas just didn’t get much help. TJ Warren and Nic Claxton collected 17 points apiece, but that was about it.
Cam Thomas in his last 3 games:

Jacque Vaughn’s squad was frankly outplayed in numerous categories and if it wasn’t for Thomas going off, they would’ve lost by a lot more than four points. If Thomas continues to cook, the Nets can stay afloat until Durant is back. Dinwiddie and DFS should really help on both ends as well.
Bulls vs Nets Prediction
Chicago’s recent track record against Brooklyn is very impressive and I highly doubt Dinwiddie and Finney-Smith hit the ground running right away. I’m liking the Bulls moneyline.
Pick: Bulls moneyline (+134)
