NBA player props from bet365 on June 16.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (30.4 PPG, 5.6 RPG, 6.3 APG postseason) has seen his O/U points go back up from 33.5 to 34.5 after he put up 35 in Game 4. Jalen Williams (20.8 PPG, 5.7 RPG, 5.1 APG postseason), whose point has increased with each game in the finals (16, 17, 26, 27), also saw his O/U increase from 21.5 in Game 4 to a series high 22.5 in Game 5.

On the Indiana side, Pascal Siakam (20.6 PPG, 6.2 RPG, 3.4 APG postseason) continues to have the highest total at just 19.5. Siakam scored 21 and 20 in Games 3 and 4 at home, but was held to just 19 and 15 in Games 1 and 2 on the road.

Pacers vs Thunder Picks & Predictions (Game 5)

  • Pacers +9.5 (-110) at BetMGM
  • TJ McConnell over 7.5 points (-110) at bet365

The fourth quarter of Game 4 was undoubtedly a massive disappointment for everyone within a 100-mile radius of Indianapolis. The Pacers, who had won each of the first three quarters and held a seven-point lead, lost the final 12 minutes by 14 to, not just lose the game, but also fail to cover the spread as 6.5-point home underdogs.

I’ve been impressed by Indiana’s ability to bounce back, though. The Pacers haven’t lost back-to-back games in the entire postseason. They’re also 5-0 against the spread after a loss in the playoffs. I’m very tempted to take the Indiana moneyline at long +335 odds, but instead I’m playing if safer and going with Pacers +9.5 in Monday’s NBA odds.

I’m also going to ride the hot hand of TJ McConnell. Indiana’s backup point guard has gone over 7.5 in each of the first four games of the NBA Finals, and in 12 of 20 playoff games to date. McConnell averaged 9.1 PPG in 17.9 MPG during the regular season, and he’s seen his minutes go back up against OKC after dipping against the Cavs and Knicks. He’s played at least 15 minutes in each game of the NBA Finals and is averaging 17.0 MPG.
