Game 5 of the Warriors vs Timberwolves second-round series goes tonight in Minnesota at 9:30pm ET / 6:30pm PT. The Wolves hold a 3-1 series stranglehold, looking to put Golden State out of their misery to make their second straight Conference Finals.

Steph Curry, who has been out with a hamstring injury suffered in Game 1, has been ruled out of this contest. Can Jimmy Butler and company pick up the slack in his absence to extend the series? Let’s dive into the Warriors and Timberwolves player props market.

Warriors vs Timberwolves Player Prop Bet #1: Julius Randle Over 22.5 Points

This season, Timberwolves Power Forward Julius Randle averaged 18.7 points per outing. In the postseason, he has exceeded that mark comfortably. In his last three games, he’s put up 24 points twice, and a playoff-high 31 points in Game 4. In his last eight overall postseason duels, Randle has put up 23 or more points on six occasions, which would point towards him securing over 22.5 points in Game 5.

Interestingly, in his six previous matchups against the Warriors, Randle hadn’t exceeded more than 20 points. However, he’s operating at virtually the same field goal percentage in the playoffs (48.3) as he had in the regular season (48.5%).

This is a potential closeout game for Minny, and they obviously would want no part in slipping up and allowing Steph Curry to play in Games 6 or 7, so it’ll be all hands on deck Wednesday, where Randle can go over his point total.

  • Julius Randle Over 22.5 Points (-110 at DraftKings)

GSW vs MIN Player Prop Pick #2: Jimmy Butler Over 1.5 Three-Pointers

They don’t call him Playoff Jimmy for nothing. Sometimes you take the good with the bad. Without him, however, the Warriors are an afterthought in the NBA Championship odds. I’ve earmarked a fun prop for him that is paying out plus money, +170. That’s to go over the 1.5 listed three-pointers made.

In games 1 through 3 of this series, Butler hit exactly two three-pointers each time, which would go over his listed mark. It’ll be all hands on deck for G-State, considering they need a victory to keep the series alive. If they go down early, Butler could start heaving up three-pointers like the 16 total attempts in Games 1 through 3.

In a must-win game tonight, you can count on heavy minutes for Butler. He’s played 40+ minutes in four of his last six playoff affairs. This is a fun prop to wager on, with juicy odds.

  • Jimmy Butler Over 1.5 Three-Pointers (+170 at DraftKings)
