If variety is the spice of life, tennis is becoming one of the blandest possible dishes. After meeting in both the 2025 French Open final and 2025 Wimbledon final, Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz will complete their in-season trilogy in the finale of the 2025 US Open in Flushing Meadows this Sunday, Sep. 7.
Sinner started the tournament as the outright favorite, and was as short as -146 going into the semifinals, but after laboring somewhat in a four-set victory against Felix Auger-Aliassime on Friday night, Sinner’s odds have faded; he and Alcaraz will head into the finale almost even.
Alcaraz vs Sinner Odds for US Open Final
Immediately after the Sinner/Auger-Aliassime match concluded, DraftKings moved its odds to win the US Open to Sinner -125/Alcaraz -110. The excess juice from the futures market will be whittled away once the matchline opens for the final in the coming hours; it’s safe to assume Sinner will be roughly -120 and Alcaraz about -105 or even-money.

Sinner won the last completed match between the two, taking a four-setter in the final at the All-England Club in July. Alcaraz battled back from two sets down to win the French Open a month prior.

*The Oct 2024 meeting took place in the final of the Six Kings Slam, a six-player exhibition tournament in Saudi Arabia.
In addition to the French Open and Wimbledon finals, Alcaraz and Sinner have met two other times this season. Alcaraz took a two-setter on clay in May, and won via retirement in Cincinnati last month, when Sinner succumb to an undisclosed illness.
Sunday’s match on Arthur Ashe will be the second meeting between Sinner and Alcaraz at the US Open. Alcaraz won a five-set instant classic back in 2022 when he was still a teenager. Altogether, Alcaraz owns a 10-6 edge on Sinner in their 16 head-to-head matches to date. On hardcourts, Alcaraz leads 5-3.
