As the launch of online New York sports betting draws closer, nine sportsbooks are preparing to create one of the biggest wagering markets in the world when they deploy their betting sites across the Empire State.
State officials are targeting a universal go-live date sometime in the second or third week of January 2022, giving the NY sportsbooks a chance to get online at the same time.
Check out this list of all nine New York sports betting sites that will become available on day one of mobile wagering, along with key information on a potential launch date.
The First 9 Online Sportsbooks Available in New York
The New York sports betting market will be flooded with sportsbooks when online wagering begins early next year.
The nine New York sportsbooks set to go online on day one include:
New York Online Sports Betting Sites

With over 20 million residents, New York will become the most populous US state with regulated online sports betting. Add in the fact that 10 pro sports teams from the Big Four leagues call New York home, and there’s little doubt this will become a huge sports betting market.
Retail sports betting has been operational since 2019, with operators like FanDuel, DraftKings, Caesars Sportsbook, and BetRivers hosting multiple in-person locations across the state. These brick-and-mortar shops can be quite far for some New Yorkers, and many sports bettors have been venturing into New Jersey instead.
Needless to say, online sports betting is going to be a gamechanger for the Empire State.
State Regulators Are Targeting a Uniform Start Date
Final rules and regulations are still being worked on for online New York sports betting, but it appears as if these sportsbooks will all launch on the same day.
According to Senator Joseph P. Addabbo Jr., New York online sports betting will likely launch in the second or third week of January.
The New York Gaming Commission will announce a permitted start date for sportsbooks to launch when the servers are ready to process bets.

Senator Joseph Addabbo, who played an important role getting online New York sports betting legalized, has indicated that a uniform go-live date will come in the second or third week of January 2022.
The official date hasn’t been determined, but the state has cleared some important hurdles when it comes to the bureaucracy surrounding online sports betting. New Yorkers can expect to be wagering from their mobile devices in time for the NFL playoffs and Super Bowl LVI.
Online NY Sports Betting Expected for Second or Third Week of Jan. 2022
While state officials are still working out an official go-live time, all signs are pointing towards a launch date sometime in the second or third week of January 2022.
This is exciting news for NFL fans in the Empire State, as the NFL playoffs will begin on January 15. It’s hard to say if online New York sports betting will be online for the first playoff game, but there’s almost no doubt everything will be up and running for the Super Bowl.
