A wild Week 7 saw #3 Oregon and #6 Oklahoma drop from the ranks of the unbeaten. Oddsmakers have now turned their attention to the college football Week 8 odds, posting opening lines for all power-conference games on the schedule.
The table, below, lists the opening NCAAF Week 8 odds. Under the table, find my favorite early lines to target in college football Week 8.
College Football Week 8 Odds
After a bye last Saturday, the #2 Miami Hurricanes are the first ranked team in action in Week 8, hosting the 4-1 Louisville Cardinals as hefty 13.5-point favorites. Week 8 also features three ranked-on-ranked games, all within the SEC of course: #10 LSU vs #17 Vanderbilt, #5 Ole Miss vs #9 Georgia, and #11 Tennessee vs #6 Alabama.

Early Week 8 NCAAF Picks & Predictions
Here are the two NCAAF Week 8 opening that I’m targeting early in the week.
Duke ML (-118) vs #12 Georgia Tech
The Blue Devils have won three straight with their offense is averaging 42.7 PPG. Georgia Tech is undefeated, but who have they beaten? A mediocre Clemson and Virginia Tech, a less-than-mediocre Wake Forest, and a bad Colorado? Duke is going to be the best team they’ve played all year, and the Yellow Jackets will be on the road. Some people will look at this line askance, but Duke is a worthy favorite here.
#16 Missouri ML (+102) at Auburn
Even though they lost at home to Alabama yesterday (27-24), I left the game impressed with Missouri’s performance as they covered the 3.5-point spread. Missouri actually outgained Alabama by four yards despite only holding the ball for 21 of the 60 minutes.
Auburn has yet to win a conference game this season (0-3 SEC) and has covered just one of its last five ATS. They weren’t completely outclassed by Georgia yesterday (20-10 loss as 4.5-point home underdogs) but their offense was anemic, generating just 278 total yards, including an ugly 137 through the air.
Home-field advantage notwithstanding, the wrong team is favored here.
