Tuesday HR Parlay Leg #1 – Nolan Arenado to Hit a Home Run

We need to start this thing off with a bang, and when I say bang, I mean bang. We’re not looking for a +210 type bang here, people. We’re better than that. A +210 bang won’t even get us out of bed in the morning. What we want is some +600 type bangs. We’re talking Nolan Arenado banging.

Before you say, “What?” Take a look at what he’s doing to the pitch mix he’s going to see tonight.

The haters are going to say that Nolan fell off, but as usual, the haters are wrong. He didn’t fall off as much as he just got old. He can’t just hit 40 dongs a season forever. Tuesday HR Parlay Leg #2 – Gavin Sheets to Hit a Home Run

Once Nolan goes deep, we’ll need a guy we can trust to close this thing out. We don’t want to get that far and then realize we have a “maybe” guy in a Circle of Trust position. That would be tragic. Lucky for us, Gavin Sheets plays in San Diego tonight, so we’re all set.

Look at what this guy has been doing to four-seam fastballs from righties this season.

To be fair, this one is just as much about Sheets as it is about Trevor Williams. Sure, Sheets is hitting 100+ mph laser beams everywhere lately, but it’s still nice to have a dong server throwing to him. That dong server tonight is Trevor. He has only given up eight all season, but seven of them have been to left-handed batters. His four-seamer gets hit hard, and Sheets hits four-seamers very hard. This feels like an open-and-shut case. Feels right.
