Tuesday HR Parlay Leg #1 – Matt Olson to Hit a Home Run

We need something easy to get us going tonight. There’s no two ways about it. Lucky for us, Matt Olson has a game. Over the last week, Olson has been an absolute barrel factory. We’re talking four barrels in the last seven days. Barrel guys hit home runs. Everyone knows that.

On top of that, he’s going to see a few four-seamers, which is his favorite pitch to barrel.

These things are about pitcher as well, and Olson will see a fun one in German Marquez. No offense to German, but he’s a bit of a piñata. The man is coming off a game where he surrendered three home runs. That’s terrible. Not that batter vs pitcher matters that much, but Olson has hit this guy very well in the past. No home runs, but he does have two doubles to his name off of Marquez. My guess is Olson finally takes him yard tonight. Feels right.

Tuesday HR Parlay Leg #2 – Corbin Carroll to Hit a Home Run

Since we already have a guaranteed dinger from Olson in our pockets, we’re going to need someone we can trust to close this thing out. We don’t want to come that far, just to come that far. That wouldn’t be cool. Lucky for us, Corbin Carroll plays tonight, and he’s at home, so it’s in the late slate. We’ll have action all night long.

Just look at what he’s doing to the four-seamers he’s seeing lately.

Again, we need to think about pitchers, and Stephen Kolek is perfect. The casuals are going to see that he’s only given up three dingers in 42 innings of work this season, but that’s why they’re casuals. I bet they don’t even know that he has a double-digit barrel rate against left-handed hitters over the last month. At some point, that has to catch up with him, and I think that some point is tonight. Feels right.
