- We’re looking at a 13-game MLB slate on Thursday, June 5
- With a slate that size, it should be easy for us to find two guys that we know are going yard
- See below for my +1660 home run parlay today
It’s Thursday, which means we need to lock in right now and get some dinger bets down. Yesterday wasn’t great, although our guys both smoked multiple balls. Neither went over the fence, but they both did the best they could. That’s all we can ask for on these streets. The smartest thing we can do at this point is pick ourselves up and get to smashing. Lucky for us, we’ve got five different spots where we should see balls flying everywhere. The blocks are hot people, which means it’s time for us to take over. That’s just how hot blocks work. It took a ton of mental simulations, but I’ve somehow narrowed down the two best home run bets on the slate tonight. Feels easy.
Please remember to play both legs straight for a 1/4 unit as well as a 1/4 unit two-leg parlay.
MLB Home Run Parlay Today (June 5)
Altogether, both legs of today’s home run parlay generate +1660 odds at FanDuel, meaning a $100 bet would profit $1,660 if both legs hit.

Thursday HR Parlay Leg #1 – James Wood to Hit a Home Run
We’re starting early tonight with one guy, Nationals outfielder James Wood, who we can all agree is definitely hitting a dinger tonight. The haters are going to say that Wood hasn’t gone yard in four games, but as usual, the haters are just saying words. Guys don’t hit dingers every day. Everyone knows that. We can’t expect them to.
But after seeing what Wood does to the pitch mix he’ll see in the first inning tonight, it’s easy to say he’s putting a ball on the moon.
I get that the Cubs’ Drew Pomeranz is only an opener, so Wood will only see him once. The thing is, Colin Rea is right behind him, and his barrel rate is longer than his Social Security number. The whole reason Pomeranz is starting is so Rea doesn’t have to face Wood in his first at bat. These Cubs are scared to death, and they have every reason to be. Wood rakes. The problem is, he’s just as likely to hit Pomeranz over the fence. The question isn’t if Wood will homer tonight, it’s how many times. Feels easy.
- The Bet: James Wood to Hit a Home Run (+340) – FanDuel

Thursday HR Parlay Leg #2 – Ben Rice to Hit a Home Run
Since we have a guarantee in our first game, we need to lock in and get another one in the next game. We can’t be out here wasting guarantees. That would be irresponsible. Lucky for us, the Yankees’ Ben Rice plays tonight, and he’s absolutely tearing the cover off the ball lately.
If you don’t believe me, look at what he does to fastballs from righties this season. Feels illegal.
Ben is going to see barrel manufacturer Slade Cecconi of the Guardians tonight. I like Slade. Always have. But one thing he needs to figure out is how to not get smoked when he throws a fastball. It’s noticeable. We’re talking about a 17.8% barrel rate this season. Righties, lefties, it doesn’t matter. Everyone gets a barrel. I can tell you this. When Rice gets one tonight, they won’t find the ball. It is what it is. Feels right.
