We’re finally here.
The NBA Finals tip off tonight with Game 1 between the Indiana Pacers and OKC Thunder at 8:30pm ET, with ABC carrying the broadcast for the entire series.
Both teams have started strong in each series they’ve played, with an OKC loss to Denver in the West semifinal the only Game 1 loss of the six the teams have played.
Will that produce a supercharged Game 1 of the NBA Finals? I’ve looked at the available player props and have a few Pacers vs Thunder props to target, below.

Pacers vs Thunder Player Prop #1: Tyrese Haliburton Under 9.5 Assists
Indiana’s success these playoffs has really been about Tyrese Haliburton’s ability to be effective in running the offense.
When the Pacers’ point guard piles up 10 or more assists, they’re almost unbeatable, going 8-1 in the nine games he’s hit the double-digit mark in these playoffs. They’re a much more pedestrian 4-3 when he goes Under that mark.
Haliburton 10+ Assist Games 2025 Playoffs
Hali will be front and centre in the Pacers’ attack, as always, but he’s going to be met with the best defense in these playoffs, and potentially, a historically good one in OKC.
The Thunder have the top defensive rating in the playoffs, and they force a league-best 18 turnovers per contest.
They have the bodies to consistently throw top defense at Haliburton, but more importantly for this prop, any passes off Haliburton drives can be recovered to quickly.
Prior to this season, Haliburton had four straight 10+ assists games vs the Thunder. In this supercharged OKC season? He’s gone under both times, putting up 12 assists total in two games.
- Haliburton Under 9.5 assists (+105 at DraftKings)
IND vs OKC Pick #2: Lu Dort Over 1.5 Threes
After hitting a career-best 41.2% from three-point range during the regular season, Thunder wing Lu Dort’s shooting has cratered in the playoffs, dipping to 30.4%.
That’s not such a big deal for the Thunder, who have a myriad of offensive weapons, and know that the Montreal native’s biggest role is as a defender, putting the opposing team’s best guys in the “Dorture Chamber”. He was named to the all-NBA Defensive First Team for the first time this season.
However, there’s some sneaky good value here in Dort’s three-point prop for Game 1. His shooting splits are night and day when you compare home games and road games in these playoffs.
Away from Paycom Center? Dort is shooting just 7-for-36, a paltry 19.4% clip, making just two triples in a game three times in seven games.
At home, Dort has connected on a healthier 25-for-69 from distance, which ranks around average at 36.2%. More importantly, he’s topped his 1.5 make line seven times in nine games.
If this stays true to form, there’s a nice plus-odds payout for you.
- Lu Dort Over 1.5 three-point makes (+170 at DraftKings)
