After a convincing 120-109 victory in Game 5, the Oklahoma City Thunder are now one win away from bringing their first championship to their not-so-new home. (The franchise’s lone title came in 1979 while the team was still in Seattle.)

The Indiana Pacers will host Game 6 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Thursday, June 19, and oddsmakers firmly expect the series to end then and there, establishing OKC as heavy road favorites in the Thunder/Pacers odds.

Indiana won Game 3 at home (116-107) and had OKC on the ropes in Game 4 before a big fourth-quarter comeback from the Thunder resulted in a 111-104 OKC victory.

Monday’s Game 5 was the first time this postseason that Indiana lost back-to-back games (previously 5-0 SU). It was also the first time they failed to cover the spread after a loss. Indiana was done in by turnovers, coughing up the ball 23 times and finishing -12 in turnover differential.

After heating up with 26 and 27 points in Games 3 and 4, respectively, Jalen Williams went off on Monday night, scoring a game-high 40 points on 14-of-25 shooting. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander added 31 points and 10 assists. Pascal Siakam had 28 in a losing effort for Indiana, going 9-of-15 from the field.
