- The Chiefs impressive win Sunday over the New Orleans Saints keeps them as the AFC’s #1 seed
- New Orleans, who entered play Sunday 10-3, have now dropped two straight
- Odds says that the Chiefs at 13-1 are the favorites to win both the AFC and the Super Bowl in February
Sunday’s big win by the Kansas City Chiefs in New Orleans 32-29 has kept them in the driver’s seat for their chances to win the Super Bowl on February 7th according to DraftKings.
The Saints, who have dropped two straight after being upset by the Philadelphia Eagles a week ago, have seen their odds fall to +850.
The Chiefs following the victory sit with a mark of 13-1, and will play host to the Atlanta Falcons and the Los Angeles Chargers to end the 2020 regular season.
Green Bay’s odds sit at +525, best for any NFC club.
The latest Super Bowl odds clearly show how Kansas City is pulling away as the runaway favorite in the NFL.

If the Chiefs can maintain the AFC’s top seed, they will get the conference’s only bye, which is a new rule for playoff seedings installed this year.
Kansas City came into action on Sunday sitting at +180 to repeat as Super Bowl champions. After Sunday’s win those odds stay put at +175.
The Saints have seen their chances as the top seed in the NFC take a huge hit the last two weeks, as they now trail the 11-3 Green Bay Packers by basically two games as the Pack beat New Orleans earlier this year.
Road Warriors
Sunday’s win over the Saints in New Orleans has clinched a perfect road mark for the Chiefs in 2020, as they went 8-0.
The only loss still for the Chiefs was a rare home loss at Arrowhead Stadium to the Las Vegas Raiders way back on October 11th when they were upset 40-32.
Since then they’ve been perfect, including Sunday as they pulled out a hard fought three-point win over the returning Drew Brees and the Saints.
Dating back to 1960, this marks the 12th time an NFL team went undefeated (7-0 or better) in road games in a single season. The 1966 Kansas City Chiefs also went 7-0 in road games, giving the Chiefs 2 seasons with undefeated road records (1966 and 2020)

The Chiefs entered action Sunday at +175 to win it all, while the Saints were at +750, odds that have gone the other way now the last two weeks with losses.
The game was a back and forth affair, as the Chiefs led it early 14-0, but the Saints were able to come marching back. They scored the next 15 points, including a late safety off a fumbled punt and a touchdown on their first possession of the third quarter on a perfect screen pass to Latavius Murray.
It didn’t take long for the Chiefs to respond, as Patrick Mahomes’ third touchdown pass to Mecole Hardman after a nine play drive put the Chiefs ahead 21-15. Eventually it was the Chiefs who were able to run the ball as well as any point in 2020 that was the difference, as they pulled away in the fourth quarter for the win.
Say whatever you want but here’s the truth: @chiefs went to Baltimore and won, went to Buffalo and won, went to Tampa and won, went to Miami and won, went to New Orleans and won. They are the team to beat

Do We See This Again?
A Mahomes against Brees battle in the Super Bowl might be appealing to many, but at this point it’s hard to think that the Saints are good enough to beat the Packers and be the NFC representative in the title game.
New Orleans has plenty of work to do even if they wrap up the number two-seed, as they will have to play a home wild card game, then host a divisional playoff game before they can move on to a potential NFC title game against Green Bay.
The Chiefs road will be that much easier, as they will only have to win one game, and that will be a home game against whatever team is left in the AFC as the lowest seed.
Right now as the playoffs look, that could potentially be Miami, Cleveland, Indianapolis or Tennessee.
What ever team lines up against the Chiefs, they will be heavy (likely double digit) underdogs entering that playoff affair.
Worth the Odds?
While the odds are clearly heavily in favor of the Chiefs to win it all, they are worth the price at +175 right now to put money on them.
At +175 it remains the lowest odds they have had all season, but as they clinch the top seed in the AFC in the next week or two, those odds likely won’t go up at all.
The Chiefs have the best quarterback in the game in Mahomes, the best tight end in Travis Kelce, and their defense is more than good enough.

On the other side, it’s time to get away from the Saints, as they are fading fast out of contention in the NFC.
Their odds now at +850 are the worst they have been all season, and if you consider their odds just three weeks back were at their lowest at +500, you see how quickly the tide has turned on this team.
Getting Brees back to the form that he showed when healthy early in the season is going to be tough, and without Michael Thomas who is done for the season with an ankle injury and was placed on IR, the team just doesn’t have that big play threat.
