It’s been so long since the Kansas City Chiefs faced the Arizona Cardinals, Patrick Mahomes was in his first season as QB1 for the Chiefs. Kyler Murray was winning the Heisman Trophy at Oklahoma.

That game was played in 2018 and when it comes to player prop betting analysis, looking back doesn’t offer much moving forward. Tyreek Hill scored two touchdowns for the Chiefs. Hill is now a Miami Dolphin.

David Johnson accounted for two Cardinals TDs. Johnson is currently a free agent.

As they meet again, it’s visiting Kansas City that is set as 6-point favorites in the contest. This game will kickoff at 4:25pm ET on Sunday, September 11 at State Farm Stadium. The weather forecast is calling for clear skies, 3 mph wind and a temperature of 97 degrees. CBS is carrying the broadcast in the USA, with streaming available through fuboTV. DAZN is carrying the game in Canada.

Let’s look at the best Chiefs vs Cardinals player props and scoring props available below.

Mahomes is listed at 2.5 in his passing touchdown total in the table above, while Murray is only listed at 1.5. Travis Kelce has the highest receiving yardage prop at 77.5.

Prop #1: James Conner Under 14.5 Carries

You can’t downplay how vital running back James Conner was to the success of the Cardinals last season. He developed into a two-way threat. And after years of being a part-time contributor for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Conner was able to prove that he could be a feature back in on every down, in every situation.

However, Conner is certainly not a workhorse back. To get the most out of him, he must be utilized in the right situation. He’s not a Derrick Henry who’s going to pound the rock at the other team all day long. Conner averaged 13.5 carries per game last season.

Pick: James Conner under 14.5 carries (-135), 1 unit.

Prop #2: Patrick Mahomes Over 2.5 TD Passes

When it comes to Week 1 of the NFL season, Mahomes is the man. He’s 4-0 straight up and 3-1 against the spread as a Week 1 starter.

On top of that, he’s gone over 2.5 touchdown passes in each of those four games. Mahomes has 13 Week 1 TD passes in total, and never fewer than three in an individual game.

Pick: Patrick Mahomes over 2.5 TD passes (+132), 1 unit.

Prop #3: Murray Goes Over First

Like Mahomes, Cardinals QB Kyler Murray is known from hitting the ground running. And he’s run across the goal line for touchdowns in each of the past two season openers.

Last year, he threw for three scores and ran for another in a 38-13 rout of Tennessee. In 2020, Murray tossed for a score and rumbled for another in a 24-20 win over San Francisco.

Pick: Kyler Murray first touchdown scorer (+950), 1 unit.

Prop #4: Connor Is A Touchdown Machine

James Conner scored 15 touchdowns on the ground and caught another three passes that went for scores.

He was third in the NFL in TDs from scrimmage during the 2021 season.

Pick: James Conner anytime TD (-167), 1 unit.
