The Chicago Cubs (92-70, 52-32 home, 42-39 away) punched their ticket to the 2025 NLDS with a 3-1 win over San Diego, and will now face the MLB-best Milwaukee Brewers (97-65, 52-29 home, 45-36 away) in an all-NL Central best-of-five series.
The Cubs went 7-6 against Milwaukee in the regular season, and were one of just four NL teams with a winning record against the league leaders. But Milwaukee has opened as a sizable favorite in the Cubs vs Brewers NLDS odds.
Chicago Cubs vs Milwaukee Brewers NLDS Odds
Milwaukee has opened as a -116 favorite with the Cubs coming back as +100 underdogs. The opening series price gives the Brewers a 53.70% win probability, compared to 50% for Chicago.

Despite going an MLB-best 97-65 in the regular season, the Brewers are only the fifth-favorite in the World Series odds at +725, trailing the Dodgers, Phillies, Mariners, and Blue Jays. The Cubs’ odds improved from +1300 to +750 after their Game 3 win over the Padres.
CHC vs MIL Regular-Season Results
The Cubs managed a 3-3 split in Milwaukee during the regular season, and took four of seven at Wrigley Field. The Cubs outscored the Brewers 60-56 over the 13 regular-season games.
CHC vs MIL NLDS Schedule
The series will open on Saturday, October 4th, at American Family Field in Milwaukee. The teams will have Sunday off before Game 2 on Monday, also in Milwaukee. The series will shift to Chicago for Games 3 and (if necessary) 4 on Wednesday and Thursday (October 8th and 9th).
If there’s a Game 5, it will be back in Milwaukee on Saturday, October 11th.
