The Packers razor-thin playoff hopes are on the line on Monday Night Football when they host the defending champion Rams. LA has looked nothing like a Super Bowl contender this year, as injuries to nearly all of their most important players derailed the title defense early.

One of the lone remaining healthy stars is Jalen Ramsey, and he’ll be tasked with shutting down Green Bay’s breakout rookie Christian Watson. The team’s new number-one receiver has taken the league by storm and is the first target in our Rams vs Packers player props.

However, if you’re expecting us to be bullish on Watson you’re going to be disappointed in our Rams vs Packers picks.

Watson currently boasts an over/under receiving yards prop of 48.5, which is the same as teammate Allen Lazard’s. The Packers rookie has been making headlines with his explosive plays and end zone prowess, both of which are due for regression.

MNF Prop #1: Christian Watson Under 48.5 Receiving Yards

Watson is the ultimate boom-or-bust receiver. Seven of his past 15 catches have gone for touchdowns, with two of those scores coming from 50+ yards out. Note, however, he’s produced just a 55% reception rate over his past four contests.

He’ll likely spend the majority of his snaps lined up against Ramsey and although he has the speed to burn anyone, don’t underestimate Ramsey’s ability to teach the young buck a lesson.

Christian Watson Receiving Stats – Last 4 Games

REC YDS TD
3 48 1
4 110 1
4 48 2
4 107 3

Also working against Watson is the projected game script and weather. Temperatures are expected to be around 18 degrees, and with Green Bay favored by 7 points, expect a heavy dose of the Packers run game on the frozen tundra.

Pick: Christian Watson under 48.5 receiving yards (-115), 1 unit

MNF Prop #2: Ben Skowronek Over 29.5 Receiving Yards

On the opposite side of the coin, LA as touchdown underdogs are likely going to have throw plenty in comeback mode. That was the script last week in Baker Mayfield’s first start, and he couldn’t stop targeting Ben Skowronek.

Mayfield and Skowronek connected seven times on eight targets, for 89 yards. Skowronek has played 97% and 100% of the Rams’ offensive snaps over the past two weeks, which tops all LA wideouts by a wide margin.

He’s cleared 29.5 receiving yards in both of those contests, and with LA likely trailing for the majority of tonight’s action, Skowronek a strong bet to do so again.

Pick: Ben Skowronek over 29.5 receiving yards (-115), 1 unit

Aaron Rodgers (GB) +3000 +700
Baker Mayfield (LAR) +3500 +700
Rams Defense +4000 +850

As far as the anytime TD market goes, we’re not going to overthink this one. Aaron Jones is a deserving -120 favorite, and when the weather gets cold he tends to play his best ball.

MNF Prop #3: Aaron Jones Anytime TD

Over his past 17 December games, Jones has found the end zone 17 times. He’s had a disappointing 2022 campaign so far scoring only six total TD, but a matchup versus LA could be the cure. The Rams’ defensive line ranks 22nd in stuff rate and will be missing Aaron Donald, the game’s premier defensive tackle.

Jones was listed on the injury report at the start of the week with an ankle issue, but has since been cleared and will be a full-go against the Rams on MNF.

Pick: Aaron Jones Anytime TD (-120), 1 unit
