- One game was postponed by the NHL’s COVID-19 protocols – see below for our best bets
Among the NHL’s best bets for Monday February 15th, the New York Islanders beating the Buffalo Sabres seems the most logical choice.
The Islanders are on fire right now. They’ve claimed points from all four of their games this month (3-0-1).
The Sabres haven’t played a game this month. They’ve been isolated in the NHL’s COVID-19 protocols since dropping a 5-3 decision to the New Jersey Devils on January 31st.
At the opposite end of the spectrum, the pandemic is causing the St. Louis Blues and Arizona Coyotes to grow sick of each other. With so many of their opponents in COVID-19 protocol, the Blues and Coyotes will face each other Monday for the seventh consecutive time in the past 14 days.
The Devils-Boston Bruins game is postponed due to the league’s COVID-19 protocols.

Odds taken Feb. 14th at PointsBet
Islanders Will Capitalize on Rusty Sabres
The Isles will come to Western New York off an impressive 4-2 verdict over the East Division-leading Boston Bruins on Saturday. Jean-Gabriel Pageau scored twice in that victory. Isles forward Mathew Barzal is riding an eight-game point streak (4-6-10).
It’s the first meeting of the season between these two teams. The Islanders own a three-game winning streak against the Sabres. They are 2-1 in their last three visits to Buffalo. Four of the last five Islanders-Sabres games have gone under.

The loss to New Jersey ended a 3-0-2 run by the Sabres. But they’re just 2-3-1 at home this season.
Another reason to lean toward the Islanders. They report no new injuries. Buffalo is still listing forwards Dylan Cozens, Tobias Rieder, Taylor Hall, Curtis Lazar and Sam Reinhart, and defensemen Jake McCabe, Rasmus Ristolainen and Brandon Montour all out due to COVID protocols.

Based on last season’s totals, that’s 61 goals absent from the Buffalo lineup, although the Sabres are hopeful that Hall will be cleared to play.
Islanders goalie Semyon Varlamov leads the NHL with three shutouts and has stopped 90 of 93 shots in his last three starts against Buffalo.
Pick: New York Islanders (-145), 1 unit.
Game 7 of the Series
This strange seven-game set with a playoff feel to it opened with a St Louis victory. The Coyotes won the next three games.
However, the Blues halted that run with a solid 4-1 win Friday at Arizona. They followed up with a 5-4 road overtime triumph on Saturday.
The Blues are now 12-3 in their last 15 games at Arizona.

— St. Louis Blues (@StLouisBlues) February 14, 2021
St Louis will be minus forwards Sammy Blais (upper body), Jaden Schwartz (lower body) and Robert Thomas (thumb) and defenseman Marco Scandella (upper body). The Coyotes are without Drake Caggiula (lower body).
Coyotes forward Johan Larsson will serve the second of a two-game NHL suspension for an illegal check on Blues forward Zach Sanford.
Pick: St Louis Blues (-131), 1 unit.
