Panthers vs Oilers Prop Picks #1: Eetu Luostarinen Anytime Goal

Eetu Luostarinen was quietly one of the most dangerous Panthers in Game 1, generating a team-high four high-danger chances, plus a 0.96 in individual expected goals. He was active all night, registering three shots, three hits and three blocked shots in 21:09 of ice time.

Luostarinen doesn’t jump off the page as a big name, but he’s become an extremely important piece in the Panthers’ aim for a repeat bid. The Finn is seventh on the Panthers in playoff scoring (13 points) and benefits from having playoff warrior Brad Marchand on his line

The massive longshot odds of Luostarinen scoring at +700 are too good to pass up, considering how dangerous he was in Game 1. The youngster scored on the road in each of Florida’s previous three series, and the team needs him to deliver again facing a potential 2-0 series deficit.

Panthers vs Oilers Prop Picks #2: Brad Marchand Over 1.5 Shots on Goal

Marchand, Luostarinen’s linemate, was equally active in Game 1, scoring a power-play goal while registering three shots in Florida’s overtime defeat. The 37-year-old has been far more aggressive offensively in the latter half of the postseason, recording 2+ shots in four of his last five contests.

Marchand doesn’t always fill up the stat sheet, but he’s become an important veteran presence on Florida’s third line alongside Luostarinen. The trio was the only Panthers line that got close to even on the shot clock at 5-on-5 in Game 1, getting outshot just 8-7 while controlling 66% of the expected goals.

The postseason often comes down to depth scoring, and Marchand’s over 1.5 shots at -118 on FanDuel is awesome value considering his recent uptick in shot volume. DraftKings has this line at -135. The veteran forward needs to keep producing for the Panthers to avoid falling into a 2-0 series hole.

  • Prop Pick: Brad Marchand Over 1.5 Shots (-118 at FD)

Panthers vs Oilers Prop Picks #3: Evan Bouchard Over 2.5 Shots on Goal

Evan Bouchard was firing away in Game 1, leading all Oilers defensemen with seven shots on goal while playing a massive 31:51 of ice time. The 25-year-old defenseman also chipped in an assist and generated a solid 0.51 in individual expected goals.

Bouchard doesn’t just shoot when he gets the chance—he actively seeks out shooting opportunities as Edmonton’s primary power-play quarterback. The defenseman averaged 2.87 shots per game during the regular season and has been consistently above the 2.5 threshold throughout his recent playoff run.

The plus money available on Bouchard’s over 2.5 shots is a gift considering his role and recent shot volume on home ice. With Edmonton likely to throw plenty more pucks at Bobrovsky in Game 2, expect the offensive-minded defenseman to continue firing pucks toward the net at every opportunity.

For our Bet365 same-game parlay, we’re combining our two Panthers prop bets with Florida’s moneyline as they look to even the series. Despite the Game 1 loss, the Panthers controlled much of the territorial play at 5-on-5 and generated more scoring chances (37-26) while posting a higher expected goals percentage.

The defending champions have shown great resilience throughout their playoff run, posting an impressive 8-3 record on the road this postseason. With Sergei Bobrovsky making 42 saves in the opener and the team recognizing they need to be more aggressive offensively, Florida should bounce back.

Our same-game parlay consists of Luostarinen anytime goal (+700), Marchand over 1.5 shots (-130), and Panthers moneyline (-110). This adds up to enticing +2000 odds for a team that historically responds well to adversity. The urgency of avoiding a 2-0 series deficit should fuel Florida’s best effort in Game 2.
