Borussia Dortmund +1400 Odds to Win Bundesliga Ahead of Final Round: Is There Value?
- Bayern Munich huge favorites for title
- Bayern two-point lead ahead of final day
- Tough away task at Monchengladbach for Dortmund
Borussia Dortmund have one last long-shot opportunity to overhaul first-placed Bayern Munich on the final day of the Bundesliga on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 9:30 am EST.
Munich lead by two points and are landslide favorites to clinch the prize in their last game at home against struggling Eintracht Frankfurt. They are rated at a massive -10000 to pull off the job.
Odds To Win Bundesliga
Team | Odds |
---|---|
Bayern Munich | -10000 |
Borussia Dortmund | +1400 |
*Odds taken at 05/14/2019
Dortmund are ranked as huge outsiders at +1400. It is an offer with little value other than the fact that it would be a huge coup to have taken such a bold chance on a big upset.
Second-placed Dortmund have been in patchy form and are two points behind ahead of their fixture away at Borussia Monchengladbach.
Seven Straight Home Wins
Bayern need only a draw to clinch their seventh successive championship as they have a vastly superior goal-difference of 52-35 against Dortmund.

The Bavarian giants could have sealed their triumph last weekend but were held to a goalless draw at Red Bull Leipzig.
It allowed Dortmund to make up some ground and keep the title race alive for the final weekend following their 3-2 win at home against Fortuna Dusseldorf.

Munich’s opponents this weekend, Frankfurt, have hit a rocky patch while they have been distracted by their efforts in the Europa League semifinal against Chelsea.
They have not won in five league games and have slipped to sixth place.
Dortmund, who led for much of the season, have lost twice in the last six games.
They will be travelling to face a Monchengladbach side eager for a win which would see them qualify in fourth place for next season’s Champions League ahead of fifth-placed Bayer Leverkusen and sixth-placed Eintracht.
There is more scope for success in taking Dortmund at +280 to get a draw at Monchengladbach. Or in taking Monchengladbach to win the fixture at +183.

Coach Kovac Needs a Double
Munich have their sights on a domestic double and meet Leipzig again the final of the DFB-Pokal Cup on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at 2:00 pm EST.
Bayern coach Nico Kovac is under pressure to lift both major trophies at home after the disappointment of the team’s last 16 exit in the Champions League against finalists Liverpool.

The superstar duo of Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery are leaving Bayern at the end of the season along with long-serving Brazilian defender Rafinha.
Dortmund’s American attacking midfielder Christian Pulisic will be desperate to help his team overhaul Munich before he leaves to join Chelsea this summer.
This will provide extra motivation as they seek to sign off with another title victory.
