Riley Cooper has become a huge locker-room problem for the Philadelphia Eagles; something you don’t want at any point in the season, but especially at training camp.

Cooper said a racist slur in a video and blew up the internet and the harmony of the team.

“I forgive him. We’ve been friends for a long time,” the running back said Thursday. “But in a situation like this, you really find out about someone. Just on a friendship level, I can’t really respect someone like that,” said running back LeSean McCoy.

“Ain’t nothing to prove. He said how he felt,” McCoy said, according to CSNPhilly.com. “He’s still a teammate. I’m still going to block for him. I’m still gonna show great effort. Just on a friendship level, and as a person, I can’t really respect somebody like that. I think as a team, we need to move past it. There are some things that are going to be hard to work with, to be honest.”

The Eagles had locker-room has some issues last season and the year went down as one of the worst in franchise history.  This season with coach Chip Kelly things should be different, but this situation is not like anything a squad has faced recently.

“It was one of the toughest things that I’ve ever had to do. It was extremely emotional. They could tell I was sincere, but it was tough,” Cooper said.

The Eagles are listed +325 to win the NFC East; they have the least possibilities of all four teams to win the division according to Vegas.
