The Washington Redskins will have RGIII as their starting quarterback for their opening game against the Philadelphia Eagles on week one, at least that’s what the second year quarterback thinks.

“I would say I’m 100 percent, but you can’t put a number on it,” he told 980’s Kevin Sheehan. “No one ever knows when they are 100 percent or what percentage they’re playing at. The biggest thing is, I’m not below 100 percent.”

“If I had to run a 40 today at the combine in my underwear, I feel like I could run a 4.3-something,” said Griffin.

Griffin thinks he’s better now than last season when he was hit by Haloti Ngata in a match against the Baltimore Ravens.

“I’m better than that right now,” Griffin said. “In my mind it’s been clicked for a long time, but for my body it clicked during the pregame in the last game when I went out there in full pads, and I was running around and throwing and doing stuff.”

The Redskins are 3.5 points favorites for week one against the Eagles.  The game total is set at 50.5.

“I just think I’m ready to go, I’m ready to play,” Griffin ended, “and, if anything, Coach and the organization holding me back has made me that much more hungry. I didn’t think that was possible, but it definitely worked.”

The Redskins won and covered the spread in both meetings last season; the game played at Washington ended with a 25 point lead difference for the Skins.
