Tacko Fall has certainly made a huge impression despite only appearing in three NBA contests, with the 7’5 behemoth quickly becoming a fan favorite in Boston. Due to fan support and surely some humor, he’s earned the sixth most votes (110,269) for Eastern Conference frontcourt players in the first round of fan voting.

You have the opportunity to cash in on Fall making the squad – despite his 4.3 points per game average –though the odds of him doing so are still very unlikely.

Fan balloting only accounts for 50% of the vote with both players and media voting taking up 25% of the total, respectively, also factoring into the equation.

Tacko the New John Scott?

This one already has the makings of an NHL All-Star game situation in which fans voted Arizona Coyotes tough guy John Scott (who registered just one point in eleven games with the team in 2015-16) into the big game, where he’d eventually be named game MVP.

On one hand you had fans loving the NHL journeyman got in, while you had the other side grumbling that the game was disrespected by allowing a player of that caliber into the festivities.

Though I don’t like people treating Tacko Fall like a circus act, I am ALL FOR him getting All-Star votes. Loved the John Scott thing, love this. ASGs are a mockery. Play along

While fan voting only accounts for half of the NBA All-Star game vote, even Fall’s teammates have jumped aboard the train and are supporting him getting in.

The NBA could try and step in to rectify this situation to ensure Fall doesn’t make the squad, but why not bring some considerable juice to a game that has gotten very stale over the years by adding some fan excitement into a meaningless contest? Give the people what they want NBA!

Two NBA players are averaging better than a point per minute this season.

One is James Harden, who has 1,261 points in 1,239 minutes.

The other is Tacko Fall, with 13 points versus 11 minutes played.
