The league leaders, Chelsea, take on Norwich Saturday afternoon, while Man City travels to the south coast to face Brighton.
However, the real excitement is all around Sunday, with three salivating matches of footy. Still, nothing compares to the last match of the weekend, which is the Northwest Derby. England’s version of El Clasico, sees Manchester United take on Liverpool at 11:30 am EST.
Arsenal vs Aston Villa Prediction
The first highlighted game of the Premier League Matchday 9 weekend is between Arsenal and Aston Villa at 3:00 pm EST on Friday.
This game is so intriguing because of the current form of these two sides. Arsenal are sort of in this Premier League mixer of results. In fact, despite losing their first three matches of the Premier League season, they have gained 11 points since.

While the Gunners are unbeaten in five, the games themselves have not been impressive. Mikel Arteta’s side only managed to put one past both Norwich and Burnley, failed to score against Brighton and lost their early lead against Crystal Palace.
Conversely, the performances of Aston Villa have not full of sunshine and rainbows either. The Villains have lost three out of their last five Premier League matches and could even be without attacker, Leon Bailey, on Friday.
Their work is cut out for them, but I expect Emi Martinez to have a great game in goal for Villa, as he goes up against his former club. It is still very apparent Arteta is out of his depth, and until there is a change in tactics or management, I expect them to continue dropping points.
Pick: Draw moneyline (+270)
West Ham vs Tottenham Prediction
Secondly, West Ham play Tottenham at the Olympic Stadium in London on Sunday at 9:00 am EST in Premier League Matchday 9.
After losing in embarrassing fashion to Arsenal a couple of weeks ago, Tottenham looked to be on the up. Nuno Santo’s team strung three wins together, featuring Premier League victories over Aston Villa and Newcastle. Despite this, in the most “spursy” way possible, they drew to Vitesse on Thursday in UEFA’s Conference League. For a frame of reference, Vitesse are currently in sixth place in the Eredivisie.

West Ham also had a European match this week, which they won against Genk, of Belgium. While they are a point lower in the table, West Ham easily could be higher than Tottenham. Their midfield of Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek just feels so stable, and the offense presence of Michail Antonio is undeniable. For those reasons, I favor West Ham over their London neighbors.
Pick: West Ham moneyline (+145)
Man United vs Liverpool Prediction
The Premier League Matchday 9 match everyone is waiting to hear about this weekend is Man United vs Liverpool; two English giants that just love playing one another.
It is hard to bet against a team with a player at the peak of their powers. While one team has Cristiano Ronaldo, the other team in red has Mo Salah, who in my opinion is the best player in the world at the moment. The Egyptian has scored in nine consecutive matches, the first Liverpool player to do so in their 129-year history.

But, it is not just the amount of goals he is scoring, it is the quality of them as well. Simply put, Man United do not have a defense capable of stopping him, or the likes of Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane.

Respect has to be given to Man United, but Liverpool are just clicking on all cylinders right now. They do not have a great record at Old Trafford, but they did win there last spring by a score of 4-2.
Pick: Liverpool moneyline (+130)
