A pair of bitter SEC rivals take the field once again this week, as Texas A&M takes on Ole Miss at Kyle Field. This year’s Rebels are very much heading in the opposite direction as their counterparts.
Lane Kiffin’s Ole Miss fell eight spots to no.15 in the AP poll after suffering defeat for the first time last weekend. The Rebels were soundly beaten by the upstart LSU Tigers squad in Baton Rouge.
On the flip side, Texas A&M fell to 3-4 after their road loss to South Carolina. The Aggies fell behind 17-0 within the first six minutes and ended up losing 30-24.
This SEC match-up kicks off from College Station on Saturday, October 29th at 7:30pm ET over on SEC Network.

Ole Miss enters this SEC clash as -2.5 favorites over Texas A&M. Currently, the public is all over the Rebels to cover as 83% of bettors like Lane Kiffin’s squad. The total for Ole Miss vs Texas A&M is set at 54.5.
Ole Miss Betting Trends
Lane Kiffin’s Rebels suffered their first defeat of the season last week while losing the outright lead in the SEC West. A 45-20 battering at the hands of Brian Kelly’s underwhelming LSU Tigers seemed unthinkable for this Ole Miss squad.
Mississippi’s offense has put up an impressive 487 yards per game. Sophomore quarterback Jaxson Dart has thrown for over 1700 yards while averaging 9 yards per attempt. This RPO-centric offense can put up points in bunches.

Although the Rebels are overachieving on paper, Ole Miss is just 1-4 against the spread in their last five games. Moreover, it’s strange to see two teams so clearly headed in opposite directions with only a 2.5-point spread, which is usually given to the home team in pick-em games for betting purposes.
Texas A&M Betting Trends
Jimbo Fisher’s team has been anything but predictable so far in 2022. The Aggies entered the year with so much promise after Fisher and his staff secured the top recruiting class in the nation. After starting the year firmly entrenched as one of the top ten teams in the nation, things haven’t gone to plan for Texas A&M.
Unfortunately for Texas A&M, some weird scheduling means this is their first game in College Station in nearly six weeks. The Aggies have lost three straight games and appear ready to self-destruct.
With a victory, the Aggies can still finish 8-4 and earn a bowl spot.

Finally playing at home could make all the difference in the world for this banged-up Aggies squad. This isn’t going to be a pretty game as the A&M offense is in rough shape, however, a long-awaited home game is the perfect spot for the defense to step up.
With quarterback Max Johnson sidelined with a hand injury, Haynes King is expected to get the start. Having said that, Haynes left last week’s game with a shoulder injury. Should King be forced to miss this one freshman Conner Weigman will take over.
The betting trends favor the Aggies here as Texas A&M is 8-2 against the spread following an ATS loss.
Ole Miss vs Texas A&M Prediction
Although Ole Miss defense has allowed over 553 yards over the last two weeks, the beat-up Aggies offense is hardly in a position to take advantage.
Intriguingly, Texas A&M hasn’t lost four straight games in the same season since 2005. Jimbo Fisher is unlikely to wish to match that feat. The Aggies should do just enough to slow down the pace and limit the Ole Miss offense.
