Fury vs Chisora Betting Analysis

The line for this one going the distance is informed by the previous two Fury vs Chisora bouts. While the first fight did go the distance, the rematch saw Fury score a late stoppage win.

Also, the skills that Fury has accrued since that night lead me to believe this one will end even sooner and he’ll further build on his streak of consecutive finishes.

While Chisora is a proven, durable enough guy who has been at the top level for a while, Fury is currently the best in the world in my opinion.

I ultimately do not see this contest encroaching to that final bell. The prop bet on this fight not going the distance presents great value.

Pick: No (-390)

Fury vs Chisora Props  – Winning Method

Outcome Odds
Tyson Fury by Decision or Technical Decision +275
Tyson Fury by KO, TKO, or DQ -350
Draw +2800
Derek Chisora by Decision or Technical Decision +2800
Derek Chisora by KO, TKO, or DQ +2000

KO Odds Favor Fury

Looking at the respective lines here, I can understand why oddsmakers perceive this. Fury’s work with Kronk Gym in his last few camps have really allowed him to grow into a consistent KO artist. Conversely, Chisora does not have the technical ability or fight IQ to best someone like Fury on points which means a stoppage is his main means of winning.

Either man winning via knockout is most favored over a points win for either and I do get why.

While I think Chisora is being supremely underrated by oddsmakers, I do still see Fury retaining his gold by way of stoppage.

This contest ends with ‘The Gypsy King’ halting Chisora for a second time but this time with a clean KO.

Pick: Tyson Fury by KO, TKO, or DQ (-350)

When Does Fury vs Chisora End?

Now that we’ve examined the notion of this fight ending inside the distance, the question becomes when does the WBC heavyweight world champion retain his gold?

The rematch ended in round ten and while I do think it’s a later stoppage, I feel it will even come a touch sooner than that in this trilogy. Fury’s last three fights have been stoppage wins and the last time he went the distance was against Otto Wallin.

I think the odds on Fury ending this in round seven presents good value to prospective bettors.

Pick: Fury Round 7 (+800)
