San Jose Sharks Betting Analysis
Things have not gone according to plan for the Sharks this season, as they’re toiling, with the fifth worst record in the NHL. With regards to this game, they have a punchers chance, given that they’re 9-10-2 on the road, compared to a ghastly 4-11-6 record on home ice.
They’re eleventh worst in scoring, have allowed the sixth most goals per game, have the 20th ranked power play, yet remarkably, are second best on the penalty kill. San Jose finds ways to beat really bad teams, such as themselves, with six of their last seven victories coming against top-ten worst clubs in the NHL. The problem is, in that span, they’ve also dropped 15 contests (3-5-3 in last eleven).

James Reimer is expected to start after Kaapo Kahkonen played last night. Reimer has surrendered at least four goals in four of his last five outings. This is also a back-to-back game situation, and the Sharks are 3-6 in the second half of those affairs this season.
Los Angeles Kings Betting Analysis
The Los Angeles Kings have been firing on all cylinders, accumulating a 9-2-1 record in their last twelve contests. In their latest battle, they defeated the Oilers 6-3, on the strength of a 4-for-7 night on the power play and 6-6 on the penalty kill. That hasn’t been the norm for them, as they rank 25th on the PK for the campaign.
LA has done an excellent job within their Pacific Division, having won their last six battles with their foes. They’re also 6-1 in their last seven as a favorite over -200 or greater.
Goaltender Pheonix Copley has been a revelation this season after competing in just two NHL games since 2018-19, going 11-2-0 with a 2.56 GAA. In eight of 13 games, Copley has allowed two or fewer goals. As of publishing it’s not confirmed he’s starting, but with his strong play of late, it’s a decent assumption.

Sharks vs Kings Pick
Picking puckline is always a risky proposition to expect a team to win by two or more goals. In this game, the risk is worth it given that Kings have won their last two games 5-1 (over Vegas), and 6-3 (versus Edmonton). They’ve also won on the puckline in two of three against San Jose.
Sharks vs Kings Same-Game Parlay Picks
Pick | Odds |
---|---|
Los Angeles Kings Puckline | +115 |
Over 6.5 Goals | -110 |
PARLAY ODDS | Â +290 |
The over is 3-0-1 in the Sharks last four games on no days rest, plus it’s been the case in four of the last five for SJ when they’re a road underdog. Subsequently, it has also hit in four of the Kings last six games when they’ve had at least a one-day break.
Pick: Los Angeles Kings Puckline (+115), Over 6.5 Goals (-110)
