The Hawks are 4-point favorites in the NBA odds, in a game that features a total of 231.5.

These teams protect the ball well, ranking top-4 in fewest turnovers per game, and tied for third-best in the NBA with 15.5 points off TO’s allowed.

New York Betting Analysis

It was a rough offensive outing against the Wiz, with the Knicks shooting just 41.7% from the field, including an abysmal 7-for-26 night from downtown, a lowly 26.9% clip.

Jalen Brunson led the team in scoring with 32 points, three rebounds and four assists. Julius Randle was 6-for-17 from the field for 14 points, adding 15 boards and four assists. RJ Barrett needed 21 shots for his 21 points, adding seven rebounds.

Washington did a lot of their damage from distance, drilling 16-for-42 from beyond the arc (38.1%). New York is usually one of the better teams in defending the three, as teams only shoot 34.2%, the fifth-best mark in the league.

Just a tick above them? The Atlanta Hawks in fourth, at 34.1%.

One notable injury for the visitors: Mitchell Robinson hurt his thumb against Dallas, and will require surgery. He’s out for at least three weeks.

Atlanta Betting Analysis

It was total team domination for the Hawks in their win against the Mavericks. Of the nine players that hit the court, eight scored in double digits, led by Dejounte Murray’s team-high 30 points. He added seven boards and four assists.

Trae Young hoisted a season-low 11 shots, but finished with 18 points and a team-best 12 dimes. John Collins chipped in with 19 points and five rebounds, as the Hawks shot 57% from the floor, and hit half of their 26 attempts from three-point range.

Atlanta’s defense has really found some footing during this 4-game fun-run. A team that usually surrenders 116 points per game (21st) is down to 112.3, while holding tams to 28.8% from three-point territory.

The 10th-best scoring team in the league (115.4), Atlanta has upped that to 119.5 over the streak, while shooting 52.4% from the field.

They are a little dinged up heading into this one. Though he’s played five straight, Young (ankle) is on the injury report, as is Bogdan Bogdanovic (knee). Both are listed as questionable Friday.

This is the third of four head-to-head meetings between the two teams, with the Knicks winning the last game 113-89. Atlanta won the first matchup 112-99, with both games at MSG.

New York has been a stellar wager on the road: they’re 17-4 against the spread in their last 21 against teams with a winning home record.

Atlanta, however, has been equally good at State Farm, running a 16-5 ATS mark in their last 21 against teams with a winning road record.

With both teams stingy allowing three-pointers, and New York playing at a bottom-5 pace (while seventh in scoring D, allowing 111.4 points per game), let’s look at the total, which both teams have yet to cross in a game this season.

The under is 8-3 in the last 11 meetings between the two teams, while the under has gone 5-1 in Atlanta’s last six home games against teams with winning road records.
