Riding a five-game home win streak, the Washington Commanders (3-2, 2-0 home) head into their Monday Night Football clash with the Chicago Bears (2-3, 1-1 away) as 5.5-point home favorites.
Already a run-first team, Washington is expected to be even more ground-focused with WR1 Terry McLaurin out. The Commanders’ run-heavy offensive approach is expected to give Chicago’s porous rush defense problems all night long. The Bears and Commanders will kick off at 8:15 pm ET, one hour after Bills vs Falcons start the MNF festivities.
In the first section below, I have set out the Bears vs Commanders player-prop O/Us, plus my two best bets. In the second section, I have listed the touchdown-scorer odds (anytime TD and first TD) plus my favorite Bears/Commanders TD pick. Use the anchors below to navigate to each section.

Bears vs Commanders Player Prop Over/Unders
NFL player props as of October 13 at FanDuel.
Williams has a slightly higher passing-yards prop (234.5 O/U) than his counterpart Daniels (221.5 O/U), who is expected to spearhead a more run-heavy approach for Washington.
The receiving props show a similar paradigm, with Chicago’s Rome Odunze listed with a game-high total of 66.5 yards, eight more than the highest Washington receiver, Deebo Samuel, at 58.5 O/U.
Bears vs Commanders Prop Pick #1: Cole Kmet Over 1.5 Receptions
Kmet had a season-high nine targets last time out in a 25-24 win over Las Vegas (before Chicago’s Week 5 bye). He scored a touchdown the week prior in a 31-14 win over Dallas.
With TE1 Colston Loveland (hip) listed as questionable, Kmet is likely to function as the first-string tight end for most of, if not all of, tonight’s game. He’ developed solid chemistry with Caleb Williams and Washington is allowing the sixth-most yards to tight ends this season. This line is as juice as -175 elsewhere.
CHI vs WSH Player Prop Pick #2: D’Andre Swift Over 13.5
Swift (56 carries in four games; 14.0 carries per game) is the only viable RB option for the Bears. His backup, Kyle Monangai, has just 17 carries on the season. Washington’s defense currently ranks 30th out of 32 teams in rush defense at PFF. On the road in a hostile environment against a potent offense, Chicago head coach Ben Johnson will know the importance of time-eating early drives. That means a boatload of early carries for Swift, who might come close to this total of 13.5 by halftime.
Bears vs Commanders Touchdown Scorer Odds
The most compelling props are tied to Washington’s ground attack. Jacory Merritt’s rushing yards over 69.5 is a strong play against a defense allowing over 164 rushing yards per game. Similarly, Jayden Daniels over 46.5 rushing yards is attractive, as Chicago’s defense will likely be keyed on stopping the running backs, opening up scrambling lanes for the athletic quarterback. For the Bears, Rome Odunze’s receiving yards over 67.5 is worth a look, as he holds a significant speed advantage over Washington’s slot corners.
Bears vs Commanders Touchdown-Scorer Pick: Jacory Croskey-Merritt Anytime TD
Croskey-Merritt is the undisputed RB1 in the Washington offense, and his odds to score a TD are as short as -170 at FanDuel. But bettors can still get him at -137 at Underdog to find the end zone, which is a phenomenal price for the lead back on a run-heavy team missing its top receiver.
Croskey-Merritt has already scored four touchdowns in his first five NFL games and should only become a bigger and bigger part of the Commander offense as he gains experience.
