The Florida Gators are your 2024-25 NCAA Men’s Basketball champions! Ranked #3 in the country heading into the tournament, Florida took down UConn, Maryland and Text Tech in the West Regional, before beating Auburn in the Final Four and finally the Houston Cougars in the National Championship game, 65-63.
This page tracked the odds to win the 2025 Men’s NCAA Tournament throughout the 2024-25 season, all the way to the Final Four and National Championship at the Alamodome in San Antonio, TX. The graphs below show the average odds to be crowned the 2025 Men’s Basketball champion, taken from our most-trusted online sportsbooks.

March Madness Odds Movement Timeline
- March 30: Duke heads into the Final Four as the +100 favorite to win the 2025 NCAA Tournament. Florida is second at +260.
- March 27: Heading into the Sweet 16, Duke (+210) remains the outright favorite followed by Florida (+285).
- March 17: With the bracket finalized, East #1 Duke is the +325 favorite followed by the other three #1 seeds: Florida (+362), Auburn (+450), and Houston (+675).
- March 16: One hour from the selection show, Duke (+336) continues to be the favorite despite a fairly serious ankle injury to Cooper Flagg. Florida (+408) is now the second-favorite ahead of Auburn (+430).
- March 10: Florida’s assault on the odds board continues; the Gators are now the third-favorite (+708), trailing only Duke (+328) and Auburn (+373). Houston (+750) and Alabama (+1117) round out the top-five favorites.
- March 3: The Florida Gators (+1000) have quietly moved into the top four while Michigan State (+2800) is also on the rise.
- February 13: Auburn (+413) is the March Madness favorite roughly a month from Selection Sunday with Duke (+433) second and Houston (+967) third.
- January 7: Oddsmaker give Tennessee (+580) a slight edge over Duke (+720) roughly nine weeks from Selection Sunday. Tennessee, the unbeaten #1 team in the nation, is third at +1080.
- November 25: Two-time defending champion UConn is still the outright favorite at +867. Duke remains second at +933 while Gonzaga has moved up to third at +1133.
- November 4: On the opening night of the 2024-25 season, Dan Hurley’s UConn – the two-time defending champion – is atop the odds at +862, just ahead of Duke (+950) and Kansas (+1000).
- April 8: Duke has opened as the favorite to win the 2025 NCAA Tournament. Their odds are sure to move – either up or down – when the likes of Kyle Filipowski and Caleb Foster make their final decisions on the NBA draft. UConn, which could lose all five of its starters from last year’s title team, has opened as the sixth-favorite.
