• Aug. 28: Despite Ohtani’s elbow injury – which has ended his season as a pitcher – the Angels’ two-way superstar remains an insurmountable favorite.
• June 14: Ohtani has shortened to -239 while Judge has faded to +970. Third-favorite Alvarez is now way back at +240 in the AL MVP odds.
• Apr. 17: Ohtani’s AL MVP odds have improved in the first six weeks of the season. The 2021 MVP is as short as +120 at DraftKings, with reigning-winner Aaron Judge still second but at a distant +700.
• Feb. 23: Shohei Ohtani is a short +200 favorite in the opening AL MVP odds, with 2022-winner Aaron Judge second at +450.

• Sep. 5: It only took a week for Acuna (-205) to take back the top spot in the NL MVP odds from Betts (+139).
• Aug. 28: Betts (-124) has taken over as the slight NL MVP favorite, narrowly ahead of Acuna (+112) who had been the favorite in the NL MVP odds for the past several months.
• June 14: Acuna has become the odds-on favorite at -108 on average with Freeman (+462) entrenched as second-favorite and Betts (+1060) rounding out the top-three in the NL MVP odds as of mid-June.
• Apr. 17: Braves star Ronald Acuna has started fast and sits atop the 2023 NL MVP odds across sportsbooks, with Pete Alonso, Mookie Betts, or Trea Turner listed as second favorites depending on the site.
• Feb. 23: Juan Soto (+540) has opened as the 2023 NL MVP favorite, followed by Mookie Betts (+810) and reigning-winner Paul Goldschmidt (+960).
