Since odds opened in late October, we will track the odds for this season’s top prospects to be selected with the first in the 2020 NBA Draft. We’ve also began tracking the odds for all prospects available to be drafted in the top five of the draft.

Odds to Be Selected First Overall in 2020 NBA Draft
- [November 19]Â Anthony Edwards capitalized on his pole position for most of the year, becoming the #1 overall pick to the Minnesota Timberwolves in the 2020 Draft
- [November 18]Â Edwards is once again the consensus to be first off the board on Wednesday night, at average odds of -130 to go top spot. LaMelo Ball has faded to average odds of +100 to be top pick
- [November 17]Â Anthony Edwards has closed the gap on LaMelo Ball for top spot with the draft less than 36 hours away. Both can be found at odds of -110 at many online sportsbooks
- [November 16]Â With the draft now just two nights away and offseason officially begun, Ball has strengthened his odds to go #1 overall, as he’s now -213
- [November 13] As of Friday the 13th, LaMelo Ball is your new favorite to go #1 overall, at average odds of -205. After being the guy for nearly the entire pre-draft process, Anthony Edwards has slid to odds of +155
- [November 10]Â With the draft now just eight days away, Edwards has drifted back towards the pack at average odds of -151 as rumors of potential trades begin to fly
- [November 3]Â Edwards has strengthened his grip on the top spot, at average odds of -235 to go #1 overall.
- [October 23] With the draft now a month away and the offseason underway for the league, Anthony Edwards remains a heavy odds-on favorite to go #1. James Wiseman has steadily slid down the board, now out at over +700 to be the top selection
- [August 21]Â Edwards is now odds-on favorite to be selected #1 overall by the lottery winning Minnesota Timberwolves whenever the draft occurs this Fall, as he is the wing slashed the team could use around D’Angelo Russell and Karl-Anthony Towns
- [June 17]Â Anthony Edwards remains favored, but the field is now much more wide open with the draft being pushed back into October with the COVID-19 pandemic altered season schedule
- [May 19]Â While both the Draft Lottery and Combine have been pushed back amidst uncertainty of when the season will restart, Anthony Edwards is now a slight odds on favorite to go #1, at an average of -102
- [April 28]Â While uncertainty with the draft process remains, the field of options to go with the to pick has widened, now including French prospect Killian Hayes, USC’s Onyeka Okongwu & Iowa State’s Tyrese Haliburton
- [March 31] With the abrupt end of the CBB season and the NBA in suspension due to the coronavirus pandemic, Georgia’s Anthony Edwards has become the favorite to go #1 overall
- [January 3] Despite leaving Memphis in season to train for the draft and hire an agent, Wiseman remains the odds-on favorite as -125
- [October 24]Â James Wiseman has opened as the favorite to be selected first in next year’s draft at -140

Although No. 1 overall selections usually work out for their respective franchises, there’s one Anthony Bennett for every three Anthony Davis’. With Zion Williamson yet to debut, we will have to wait to make a firm judgement on how the Pelicans look heading into this coming year’s draft.
