The Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl will have one of the most interesting matchups this season as the 7-5 Michigan State Wolverines takes on the 7-5 Kansas State Wildcats, this Saturday at 10:15 PM at Sun Devil Stadium.

Kansas State hasn’t won a ‘postseason’ game since 2002; they have lost five in that span. However, they ended the season winning five of their last five games.

“It is obvious that one of my many failings is that I do not have the answer to that,” head coach Bill Snyder said. “It could be a multitude of things, and perhaps it is, or maybe it something simple that I am overlooking. … The bottom line is I really do not know.”

Michigan started the season 5-0, but then things got ugly, and they lost five of the last seven; this break before the bowl should have helped them bring their intensity back. Freshman Shane Morris will make his first career start as a quarterback for the Wolverines on Saturday.

“Obviously, we recruited him at Michigan to be the quarterback at Michigan,” coach Brady Hoke said. “This is a great opportunity. We have a lot of faith in how he goes about his business getting ready to play.”

Kansas State is a 5.5 point favorite in the NCAAF odds over Michigan in the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl.  The Wolverines have lost six of their last eight bowls appearances.

Wildcats and Wolverines will clash for the first time, ever.
