The New England Patriots look for a win in the last game of the 2013 regular season to secure a bye week in the AFC playoffs as they host the Buffalo Bills, this Sunday at 4:25 PM ET at Gillette Stadium.

The NFL odds have the Patriots as 8 point favorites, and the game total was set at 46.5.

With a win, the Patriots will get the second seed in the AFC and, therefore, a bye week in the first round of the playoffs. A win plus a Denver loss will give them the number one seed and home field advantage through the postseason.

“We always say that as the season goes on, the games only get bigger and bigger and bigger, and I think that is this week, too,” said Tom Brady. “We’ve worked too hard for too long to get to this point.

“We’ve got a great opportunity ahead of us, and you just don’t want to go out there and not give it your best and put out an effort that’s less than 100 percent of what you’re capable of, because, like I said, it’s been 11 months of work to get us back to this point.”

The Bills have never won at Gillette Stadium, and this season the Patriots are 7-0 at home. Tom Brady is 21-2 all-time facing the Buffalo Bills with 53 TDs and 18 INTs.

New England is 51-32 ATS in the last 4 weeks of the regular season since 1992. Also, 4 of 5 games in this series have gone OVER THE TOTAL over the last 3 seasons.
