The 2013 Red River Rivalry game has Oklahoma as the big favorite to win when they meet Texas, this Saturday at 12 PM ET at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, for the NCAAF week 7.

The Sooners are 5-0 this season, and have beaten the Longhorn the last three games they played; last season with a bashing 63-21 victory.

“I don’t want to talk about last year,” Texas junior defensive back Quandre Diggs. “This isn’t the 2012 Texas Longhorns.”

“They were more physical than us,” Texas Head coach Mack Brown said. “The games were over before they started.”

The Sooners defense allows 13 points a game this season, sixth best in the nation, but coach Bob Stoops thinks his team best chance to win is by letting his quarterback Blake Bell break free running the ball on Saturday.

“We still have to find different ways to get him running the football and trying to break him loose from time to time,” Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops said.

Texas is 3-2 this season and left lots of doubts last week against Iowa State.  Coach Brown thinks Oklahoma has “more speed on the field” than in the past on defense.

The college football betting spread has the Sooners as 14.5 point favorites; the line opened at -13, but it quickly moved one point. The game total was set at 56 points.

Texas is 4-9 SU in its last 13 games when playing Oklahoma, and 1-3-1 ATS in its last 5 games at any field against the Sooners.
