The best Sunday game in College Basketball features the Wisconsin Badgers taking on the Michigan Wolverines, at 1 PM ET at Crisler Center.
Wisconsin is 20-7 entering the week, with a 7-5 record against Big Ten matchups, and 12-12-1 against the spread; they have three games in a row and their last outing was a win against Minnesota 78-70.
“They shot really well here, and now they’re at home, so they’re going to be even more comfortable,” Wisconsin forward Sam Dekker told the school’s official website about the matchup against Michigan. “We have to make a concerted effort to make every shot tough. Guys like Stauskas and (Glenn Robinson III) were coming off curl screens and hitting shots. We have to limit that and do what we do and stick to our rules and play defense.”
Michigan is 18-6 with their last win coming away from home against Big Ten Rivals, Ohio State Buckeyes, 70-60; that victory was their 10th in the 12 games they have played against Conference opponents this season.
“It is great to be at the top of this conference, but we still have six games to go — with some really tough games coming up,” said Wolverines coach John Beilein.
“It’s great. I don’t know if we expected this this year,” added Beilein. “We’re watching these two kids play in the NBA right now, and they’re doing really well. And I’m saying, ‘Jeez, we’d better have made it to the Final Four last year because those were really two good players.’ Now when you have that dropoff, we didn’t know where it was going to come from.”
Michigan is a 4 point favorite in the College Basketball Odds for Sunday.
