The best NBA game of the Wednesday Night features the Portland Trail Blazers taking on the Los Angeles Clippers, at the Staples Center at 10:30 PM ET.
The Blazers are 36-16 this season and enter this game after losing at home to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday 98-95. LaMarcus Aldridge had just 12 points and shot 5 of 22 from the field, missing the winning mid-range jumper late in the fourth quarter.
“We’re not trying to make friends out there,” he said. “We’re trying to win games, but I couldn’t throw a rock in a lake tonight,” Aldridge said.
Portland is the best offensive team in the NBA with 107.7 points per game as an average and 1st in rebounds per game with 46.4 every night; they will have to deal with the Los Angeles Clippers, which bring an entire show every time they hit the court.
Los Angeles smashed the Philadelphia 76ers in their last outing on Sunday 123-78, and they welcomed Chris Paul back after a month on the sidelines with a shoulder injury.
“It felt great just to play. You never know what it’s going to be like until you actually get out there and compete,” Paul said. “A lot of things go through your mind out there, especially when you come back because you want to make sure you’re not too tired and not trying too hard. But at the same time, we’ve been playing extremely well and I didn’t want to break up our rhythm.”
The NBA odds have the Clippers as 8 points favorites. The game total is at 215 points.
