The moment TV fans – so, um, everybody – has been waiting for finally arrived! The 2015 Primetime Emmy Awards nominations have been announced!

HBO’s death-riddled Game of Thrones – which just wrapped its fifth season – leads the way with 24 noms. In the drama category, we’re going to see plenty of new faces as Bob Odenkirk (Better Call Saul), Kyle Chandler (Bloodline), Liev Schrieber (Ray Donovan), Taraji P. Henson (Empire), Viola Davis (How to Get Away with Murder), and Tatiana Maslany (Orphan Black) were all nominated in their respective Emmy categories.

When it comes to surprises, it’s who didn’t make the cut that has us taken aback. CBS’ The Big Bang Theory is notably absent from most comedy categories.

One of the most interesting races will take place among variety shows. The Colbert Report, The Daily Show, and the Late Show with David Letterman all ended this year (or are ending imminently). With the sentimental vote likely to be split three ways, the door could be open for newcomer John Oliver and his sardonic Last Week Tonight to take the cake.

While Emmy host Andy Samberg won’t be on duty until September 20th, we’ve got the early look at the odds for all the major categories!
