A-Rod’s 3,000th Hit – Odds and Props [UPDATED]

Like it or not, it’s going to happen. Alex Rodriguez is going to join Major League Baseball’s exclusive 3,000-hit club. (It could be worse. He could be joining your Skype chat.) But baseball’s record book is already so tainted, this is like dumping a little more garbage on the Jersey Turnpike: at the end of the day, does one one more pile of crap really ruin your day?

We’re not ones to fight the inevitable; we’d rather make steroid-laced lemonade in a suburban Florida garage. So let’s take an uber-detailed look at when, where, and how A-Roid … er, sorry A-Rod is going to join the club of legends.

To set the table, Rodriguez is sitting on 2,995 hits ahead of the Yanks’ series in Miami. New York will play two in Florida then host the Marlins for two in the Bronx. [UPDATE: he’s now on 2,999 hits prior to New York’s July 19 game against Detroit.]  After that, they welcome the Tigers and the lowly Phillies for three games each before hitting the road for two more three-game sets against the Astros and Angels.
